I don't get the bad reviews about this game, especially since they are mostly considering climbing. Whatsoever, I really enjoyed they introduced the climbing sequences. To be honest, after reading so much about how much people hate climbing mechanics and that it ruins the game, I thought there was gonna be a lot more climbing than there actually were. There is not a lot of climbing, really. Only some short sequences. You could get the wrong idea from those reviews that all you do in this game is climb lol. And that's not true at all. There is a loot more stuff that you have to do within the gameplay, climbing was just one tiny bit of it. That aside, I will review other aspects as well.

The graphics are beautiful, especially the atmospheric and environmental ones. Character textures and facial graphics were okayish, they could have been a bit better, but it's not a big concern. It's just that it's a bit of a contract comparing to the beautiful graphics of the Mars and other environment. Gameplay is smooth, there were a couple of glitches here and there but very rare. ASE use is a lot less than in the previous game, which is a bit of a minus from me, I think they could have been used more often. Other than that, everything else is almost perfect. The voice actors, oh my god they were good. I recently played A way out with my friend, which is a lot more popular and higher rates game, but one of the things that bugged me the most about that one was pretty cheap and bad voice acting. I couldn't really immerse myself. But here? You're in for a treat. They did a magnificent job, and really narrow down the emotions. And for the story, oh boy.. This is one of the best sci-fi stories I've ever seen, and I'm a big sci-fi fan. The game gets 9 out of 10 from just for the story alone. Full of twists, tension, mistery, unpredictability and curiosity at every corner. And the atmosphere of the game is top notch. It immerses you with ease. And I usually have issue with not being immersed enough in the games I play. So all in all, this is one real hidden gem, a very big recommendation from me, please go buy it, support the devs, they need the money so we can get Deliver us Earth, the third and final part of this amazing franchise, which they are currently working on. Can't wait to see the final part of this trilogy :) Keep up the great work, team.

The game starts of pretty good, I really enjoyed the majority of the opening. Where the game flops and continues to flop shortly after is when they introduce climbing. I'm not sure who in the meeting for the game thought their idea of climbing was great but they ruined a solid 6-7/10 game by introducing this mess. The game is only a 2 for because the rest of the game is decent enough. I wouldn't really bother even trying the game though, because the climbing sequences are that bad that they are not fun in the least bit to waste your time with.

Go play uncharted or something that knows how to do climbing.
