It's very, very difficult to not believe that this show has been set up using improvisational actors following a loose script and a designed plot.
Everything eventually starts playing out like a soap opera with endless convenient moments of discovery and character arcs that would be hard to swallow within fiction, let alone in reality.
Most suspicious of all is the fact that three such irredeemably-vile people as Jill, Amber and Justin would somehow end up on a single team and become soap-opera villains of the first order, complete with psychopathy and delusional levels of projection.
If this is actually real then it's the sort of thing that could destroy any viewer's faith in humanity. I can only hope that it's all a fake-out and that these three people are actors rather than monsters.

We were intrigued by the show. Who could survive the elements, be smart, support their teammates. Jill only became more annoying and showed that she couldn't survive on her own. Ruined the show because it changed. There is no way she has kids or is married. If she does and is, she won't and shouldn't be. Her kids would be embarrassed and mortified to have to have her talk on parents day. Her firm is a private investigator of one because she'd never have any loyalty. Her teammates are ignorant followers. She felt worse about a squirrel. Likely her investigative partner because no human would work with her. Producers, initiate a few societal rules so ignorants like those three on alpha can't ruin future games. You lost a lot of viewers.
I can't get over the idea that this is the most unconvincing attempt at faking reality TV.
I could almost see the story boards for each episode just off camera.
Its quite fun if you take it as a faked show, and it's easier then to swallow all the coincidences and convenient speeches that lead the plot into one unbelievable crisis after another.
Its also the only way to believe that any humans would behave like such a pile of evil creeps after only a couple of weeks have passed as the alpha team does.
I haven't seen the last two episodes yet but if this is as fake as I think it is then I'm expecting the baddies to lose and the goodies to win.
I'll give it four for its entertainment value but if its all true reality then I think I might just become a hermit and forget about the human race.

I'm shocked that the producers allowed Jill and her two idiot followers to steal the sleeping bags of the other contestants. In sub- freezing temperatures, how could she even consider doing this? I couldn't believe it was allowed to occur. After that, she also entered another contestant's camp and harrased and began taking apart his camp right in front of him! His only resort would to be to physically attack her- which if course he would not do. She relished the idea if doing this and displayed the most reprehensible behavior- tainting him and smiling while she did it.
I don't remember a more truly disgusting person on television. As sample if what a phoney she was csn be seen when she cried when having to kill a squirrel for food. Apologizing to it and thank it for its "sacrifice"- as if she was a decent, feeling person.
She should have been pulled out of the show as soon as the producers saw her horrible behavior. As far as her life after the show, her friends, relatives and clients must be in shock and embarrassed by her. Shame on Netflix for allowing this to happen.

This show had great potential, but if there's absolutely no rules or guidelines to the game, that ruins it. If they're allowed to take my things, I should be able to go over to their camp, jaw them, and recoup my things. Contestants were put in this weird predicament where they essentially had to either abandon their morality or just let the bad guy win and flare out.
If they do another season they need more challenges that give unforeseen advantages, more twists, and less of an ability to completely end another person/team's game via theft or destruction of their survival homestead/materials.
