Hotel Labamba

I expected a classic detective movie when I saw the plot of the movie, but I was happy it was not a copy and paste situation. The movie has a captivating story line about a murder mystery. The writers did a great job of creating suspense and intrigue that should have kept me guessing until the end but missed it along the line.

The acting was not very convincing for some major roles and the reason I'm rating this movie 5/10.no

The director tried to add some comic relief by giving Big Berry a funny accent and intonation, but it didn't work for me. It was odd to see a character living in Cyprus who couldn't speak proper English. Why didn't he just speak his native language, Yoruba, and give us some authentic oyo town accent?

Yema was the only character who made me laugh. She portrayed our average police officer in their usual humor and charm.

The soundtrack was nice, though. I liked the songs and I'm going to check out the full album on Spotify.

Overall, it was a decent movie.
