Sermon on the 'Mount

Sermon on the 'Mount feels like a return to South Park's golden era: fearless, irreverent, and refreshingly balanced in its satire. No political group is spared. Whether you're left, right, Democrat, Republican, or something in between, this episode reminds us that comedy can, and should bring us together through brutal honesty and shared laughter.

The jokes are sharp, the commentary timely, and the visuals some of the most outrageous in South Park history. From NPR cancellation to a deepfake Trump PSA involving Satan and surreal nudity, it's absurd in all the right ways. And despite (or because of) its chaos, there's a surprising amount of catharsis here.

This is South Park at its best: taking no prisoners, pointing fingers in every direction, and making us laugh until it hurts.

Trey and Matt are the only people I wish we could clone, so each country would have a creative duo like this .Once again, they prove they can carry the torch for many more years (at least 5 more ,right? ) to come and pull through one of their more emblematic set-ups for the new season of South Park.

This episode is an instant classic in any way and form. Can't wait for the follow up (ep.2 ) and this episode is probably the best they 've done in a few years. The ending was sublime. The direction was spotless. Wow. This is the kind of hope the creative industry needs . Amen :P.

Trey and Matt are INCREDIBLE!!! This was the funniest slap in the face to a politician in history! And every second was over the top and the end made me wide eyed and open mouthed! This is what we remember South Park in it's glory days! The shock value with the raunchy jokes will always be there as their calling, but this was actually funny well curated pop culture/political satire jokes. I was worried Trey and Matt were losing their edge with the major deal in place and the controversy surrounding it, but they didn't disappoint!

Satire is a powerful form of nonviolent protest. So are the words of Jesus and a teenie weenie. The walls have come down in the world of political satire and South Park uses it's wrecking ball effectively. There's depth here, not just a hit piece. The depth may be painful but there's a human honesty underneath.
