Seat-clutching Slow-burn Thriller

I was impressed with this film and the seriousness with which it took the supernatural as well as family strife. My heart was racing with the tension this director created-the sound effects, camera work, and screenwriting were all a success. A few performances fell a little flat, but the cast was strong throughout. For being a low-budget film with limited shooting locations, it made the most of every shot, color, and prop. This film moves slowly but intentionally so; it doesn't leave room for boredom. Very well executed with a strong attention to detail.

If you're looking for a thriller that will have you thinking deeply about evil, feeling deeply for the several broken characters, and genuinely afraid, this film achieves achievers these things and lets the thriller genre know that there is still room for another thoughtful director.
