Searching for Veslemøy

This is a brilliant mockumentary reminiscent of Waiting for Guffman. The characters are often so wrapped up in their own concerns that one wonders whether the mystery of the disappearance of. Veslemøy will ever be solved!

The film features a noteworthy performance by Tom Montgomery who plays William Fair, a reporter who is dim, inept and even inappropriate with those he interviews. Khonia Kushan is delightful as.the navel-gazing psychic and yoga instructor, Esmerelda, Leo. X. Robertson (director and screenwriter as well as actor) offers a smart satire of gay tropes in his role as the eccentric Ena, intent on instant gratification, self-absorbed to the point of narcissism and able to turn the charm on and off like a light switch according to his current whim. This is not to detract from the rest of the cast and crew who worked so well together.

It was obviously a well-coordinated team effort, and I hope it was as enjoyable to produce as it was to watch.
