L'endemà (2014)

FAQ

L'endemà

Both scenes start with a beautiful face of a child, singing in a quite fervent manner; follows a slow zoom-out over the rest of the singers. There are significant differences between the two scenes in each film:

    1. In "L'endemà", the song is "Que sera, sera". In "The Book Thief" it is a version of "Kampflied der Nationalsozialisten".

    2. The chorus stuff is very heterogeneous racially in "L'endemà", and on civil cloths. In "The Book Thief", all them are white people, many of them hair blonded and blue eyed, all of them on militar uniform.

There are not so significant differences as well, or it seems so to me, although they could be interesting:

    1. The beautiful faced child at the start of both scenes is a boy (I think so!) in "L'endemà", (with no more paper in the film), but a girl (the main character of the story) in "The Book Thief".

    2. The singers are all children or teenagers in "The Book Thief" and all ages in "L'endemà".

    3. The scene is at the begining in "The Book Thief" and at the end of the film in "L'endemà".

I haven't read anything about this possible film reference from the writter or the director. I hope someone can edit this answer explaining it better and for certain.
