I've never seen an otherwise decent Penthouse video go so sharply downhill before at the end. Let me just say Lexus deserved better and leave it at that for now. The production values are decent and the models featured are good. Another year, another Play-off with Pets eager to win Pet of the Year 1998 and I can certainly see why Paige won. 'Play-off 1997' has some fine moments for sure.
Paige Summers starts the video off in black lingerie on a bed as her boobs get a lot of attention. Afterwards there's a quick behind the scenes where you get to hear her speak (5.5 mins). Now Paige is either rocking a white see thru top or cut jean shorts (plus a cowboy hat and vest with nothing underneath briefly) outside. A pierced navel and a tattoo on her lower stomach. There's no explicit shots, but her kitty gets a lot of close-ups. This scene also featuring her in white lingerie is my favorite segment (7 mins).
Next up is Diane Fowler (aka Sunset Thomas) full of energy in a zebra print bra & skirt or a white dress. She'll climb into a fountain getting wet as video effects make their first appearance here, but they aren't overbearing yet. She provides the first pink moment spreading five mins in. A minute later she's - upside down, wow - doing it again (7 mins). Now in a blue top and black panties some shots of her sitting in a chair with her legs in the air certainly got my attention. Same again for her bent over where I kept waiting for another explicit shot to come, but it never does (4.5 mins).
Julia Garvey starts off topless with red panties & stockings in front of a fireplace. There's black and white shots of her nude in bed inserted randomly. The editing a bit all over the map. Her bra is back on. Then a shot of her removing her panties is followed by them being back on. Suddenly we're outside and Julia is dressed up like an angel complete with wings. At this point the editor has lost his mind (6.5 mins). Second scene has Julia in a black top which she quickly unbuttons revealing her breasts and black panties. Those come off and she sits in a chair with her legs apart highlighting she's pierced again. No crazy editing here but no standout moment either (5.5 mins).
Lexus Locklear watches TV on a couch in blue lingerie. Then it gets bad with shots of her standing in front of a large projection screen displaying nude models. It's a poor concept. You can't make her out very well (5 mins). Her second scene is brought down by a ton of stupid video effects ruining whatever visually Lexus has going on. Outdoors her clothing changes from a blue bikini, a red dress to a gold dress. I can't say much positive. Those awful effects!! Lexus is now in a black bra and panties. Takes two mins to get completely nude then it's over a minute later (8 mins).
'Play-off 1997' ends with all four pets in a pool. Nice butt shots and kissing but it's over quick. Some suspect editing and those dumb video effects meant I wish Lexus had gotten a better presentation. Luckily Paige Summers (RIP) and Diane (aka Sunset) delivered the goods that partially made up for that in a pleasant video from Penthouse.
