Can't Turn Us Around: Alabama's Foot Soldiers

Covers key movements in the 1950s and 1960s that need to be remembered because of the bravery of those who stood up. Multiple interviews, lots of stock footage, and very well put together and edited. I was taught most of this in school in the 90s but I definitely don't recall the some of the lengths that black people went to and what they had to endure in some of the moments that were highlighted in this documentary. It should be aired much more frequently than it is, as it is pretty comprehensive with good balance of interviews and moving retellings by those who lived it. I would consider watching this every few years, it's that good!
