The film's humor and chemistry between the leads are praised, though some find the plot predictable and humor inconsistent. The action sequences receive positive remarks, though a few critics wish for more thrilling moments. Despite lacking depth and emotional resonance, 'Jackpot!' is considered a fun, light-hearted experience that offers enjoyable entertainment.

A movie that doesn't require much thought and definitely has a few too many toilet humour jokes and somewhat cringy dialogue, but overall still pretty exciting, thrilling, and a lot of fun to watch with well choreographed action that was never boring, keeping you on your toes, and an endearing performance from John Cena as Noel, who was just a genuinely fun, sweet and quirky character.
Sure, it's not groundbreaking, it's not overly surprising in the direction it went, and it could've explored its concept and the implications of it more thoroughly, especially the horror of it, (warning, parts of it get brutal/dark but more in a cartoonish supervillain way?), but hey, that's not the type of movie it is, not the type I expected it to be, and that's fine.
It had a lot of humour that didn't hit but also a lot that did, it had characters I was rooting for, good pacing, scenes that made me feel on the edge of my seat; it made me laugh and make various oh and *gasp* noises, and be like did you see that?? To my family, so all in all, a stupid good time. Slightly unnerving in concept. Kinda like an old fashioned violent cartoon.π

The concept of the movie is intriguing. Imagine if 2013's "The Purge" was a comedy, a different take on the finished product we got. While the idea is fun, its execution could have been a little better. The script written by Rob Yescombe (Outside the Wire) is dragged down at times by clunky dialogue, an inconsistent tone, and some unfunny jokes that never truly elevate the story.
I'm not the biggest fan of Awkwafina, but I liked her in this movie (except for the times she's clearly improving). I like her backstory and her relationship with John Cena (who is probably the best part of the movie). The rest of the cast is fun, but some minor characters receive more screen time than needed, which is a deliberate choice to add depth to the story and the world of the movie.
The humor doesn't always work, but when it does, I laugh. I'm a simple man. As for the action sequences, they are well-choreographed and intense and add a thrilling element to the movie. They work well and complement the humor well. Director Paul Feig has done this before with 2015's "Spy".
Overall, it's a fun movie that I recommend for a light-hearted, entertaining watch.

I was looking for a movie I could watch to relax and pass the time and Amazon suggested Jackpot!, so I decided to give it a try without expecting much.
It's definitely not the kind of film that will make you think much or learn things, but it's entertaining, with lots of action, quite good acting and decent screenplay. The idea of the film reminds me of The Purge, without the horror / gore aspect .
The movie is actually a comedy, so there isn't much blood or deaths, which is appreciable from time to time. Some scenes and lines are funny and the actors (that we know but aren't ultra famous) give a good performance. The movie moves at a fast pace and even though we know from the start how the film's gonna end I had a good time watching it.
I thought it was a pretty good portrayal of the society we live in (people would do anything for easy money) and it made me wonder what I would do if I ran into that girl... I guess there was a little mental effort provided there!
So yes, the film is a bit stupid and won't take much brainpower, but if you want to chill in front of a nice action comedy, then go for it.

This was not a bad movie at all and i honestly don't get the hate it's receiving... it's a very fun and entertaining movie for what it is... It was action from start to finish and it did not disappoint. The plot may not be all the way solid but it is a breath of fresh air for comedy...this is (in a way) a fun "purge" kind of movie when you think about it... the fight scenes were very good but a little unrealistic but like i stated before it's just completely a fun movie to watch... i especially love the end of the movie(the after credits)... cover art is unappealing in my opinion so i would recommend you just give this a try because you won't be disappointed...
I would have never pictured these two characters together as the leads of a big movie but here we are. And I'm loving it!
If you expect some super smart comedy full of unexpected twists and turns to come out of Amazon Prime with these two as the main stars.... then the joke is on you. This wasn't stupid but it certainly won't make you stop and contemplate your existence. It's silly, ridiculous, funny, original *enough*, and the acting is quite good. The funny thing is, I don't think most people even got the joke. Which is that people will absolutely turn on each other in seconds when money is involved. The nice lady on the bus suddenly turning into a serial killer... I mean, c'mon, we all know a lady like that who's stabbed us in the back. It's funny but kinda very true too.

- GoofsIf they'd brought Machine Gun Kelly into the panic room with them, they wouldn't have had to worry about him giving up the code. Even if he woke up, he hadn't shown any interest in collecting the jackpot for himself, but they could always stun him again if he did.
- Crazy creditsThere are bloopers shown throughout the entire run time of the end credits.
