Misplace the Rabbits

The scenes featuring a young actress playing the protagonist in the film's initial cut had to be removed, the reason being her parents concerns about the story having ended up becoming too "offensive"; a realization they came about when the film had already been shot. Due to the limitations imposed by the first large outbreak of COVID-19, and those pertaining to the film's time and budget, Director Laura Maria Isabel Ruiz Ocadiz enlisted the help of Montagist Roberto Eduardo Arenas Farquet (who also plays a character in the film) in order to tell the story with both carefully selected stock footage depicting a child model and the original shots featuring the actor's performance. This allowed the filmmakers to release the short while enduring the quarantine issued at the time by the Mexican government and health authorities.
