I have only watched the episode regarding Zimbabwe but it was astonishingly bad and fails on all levels.
This supposed investigation into the character of a Dictator is just completely surface level and makes strange attempts to humanise Mugabe, taking the words of his closest party members without any scepticism.
Aiming to leave the viewer with the impression that Mugabe was this deep intellectual who suddenly turned bad instead of the militant communist he actually was.
You cannot tell the history of corruption in Zimbabwe by writing off every white person in the country as a racist, nor can you just ignore the nation that preceded Zimbabwe in Rhodesia. This is a childish level of ignorance.
The presenter is tone deaf and more preoccupied with making unfunny jokes and skits instead of investigating the subject matter.
How someone in the editing room could not see the bad choice of a skit mocking the world taking notice, only through racism supposedly, of Mugabe's atrocities in Zimbabwe when "White Land Seizures" were occurring being shown just minutes before a harrowingly brutal retelling by a white Zimbabwean woman about how her family were forced to endure a home invasion and hear the screams of her daughter being molested and threatened with rape by armed men is shocking to me. It would leave any sensible person with resentment for the presenter for minimalizing the atrocities committed under Mugabe because the victims were white.
