Room 206 and the Evenings After (2012)

Trivia

Room 206 and the Evenings After

Edit
The cinematography in the room changes over the course of the three evenings, going from darkness and shadows in Evening 1 to a more brightly lit environment by Evening 3. This was done to mirror the main characters' attitudes in the relationship: uncertain and uneasy at first and then gradually becoming more welcoming and inviting as time progressed.
The original script contained first person narration by the character played by Eddie Zertuche but this was altered to third person narration so that the events could be viewed more objectively and dispassionately. A female narrator was chosen so that the final product did not feel "male-centric."
The three evenings portrayed in the film were literally shot over the course of three separate evenings. Director David Sowden did this to add realism and verisimilitude to the performances. All the evenings were shot in the order they appear.
In the theatrical trailer, Nikki's line to Jason is delivered as "You know, we can't have sex if you're sitting all the way across the room." In the actual film, she uses the world "f*ck" instead "have sex." This bowdlerization was shot specifically for the trailer so as not to offend audience members and was never intended to be used in the final cut.
The dating website "Sync Up!" was designed specifically for this film and features numerous in-jokes to other films produced by Nicholas Zebrun: the dating profiles of Sean Thornton from Variations on a High School Romance (2010) and Mark from White Powder (2006) can be seen, a profile for a woman named "Donna", who is a school teacher, comes from a discarded script that Mr. Zebrun was working on at the time, and the website is a division of The Hulen Corporation, which features into many of Zebrun's films.

David Sowden: [airplane] On the dating website, an advertisement for an airline can be seen in the upper left-hand corner. An airplane (sound or image) is a recurring motif in every one of Sowden's films.
