    Just my opinion.

Loved the episode as a whole, love the easter eggs we saw. Perhaps a bit disappointed that once again the shooting shared trauma wasn't mentioned in the coma dream, I feel like it's something that should have been worth mentioning, its about time that a conversation should happen about it?

I really loved Christopher scene and loved the little parallel we got here, it got me really emotional.

However the parents redemption arc (for Buck and Chim) is getting on my nerve because of the "you have to forgive your parents to be able to move on" thing that is slightly pushed on the audience. That's just my opinion.

Also : Oliver did an AMAZING work, loved it 👏🏼

Buck and Oliver Stark are the heart of 9-1-1

There are a lot of cliches about actors's performances. The one that comes most to mind is "tour de force" - something PR people love to use. That being said, Oliver Stark's performance in "In Another Life" was just that - an epic achievement in acting that further cemented not just Buck's central role in 9-1-1 but Oliver Stark's ability to bring laughter through tears (and vice versa) and to create a genuine, powerful emotional responses. Buck is an iconic television character - well conceived and consistently well written for - and Oliver Stark breathes such life into his character, whether going for the aforementioned laughter or tears, that he is absolutely 100% compelling. "In Another Life" gave Oliver Stark (and Buck, for that matter) an opportunity to show how vital he is to the success of 9-1-1 and the family that is the 118. I can give no higher recommendation to this amazing hour of television and to the actor who continues to bring sheer joy to fans of 9-1-1.

    YES OLIVER STARK!

An amazing performance by Oliver Stark, had me sobbing the entire time.

This episode was the true heart of 911, with the love of the 118 family and one of their own in peril, and who better than their Buck.

Outstanding acting by Oliver, wonderfully directed which made it a really fun, dynamic, stand-put episode!

Such an important moment for Buck to recognise his personal worth and importance, not only in the life's of others but for himself.

So happy to see that this will be a story-line continued throughout 6b, can't wait to see Buck's recovery journey and 'life after death.'

Oliver did an absolutely amazing job, give the man a raise!

Great episode, could've have been a bit longer

Fantastic episode that showed a good progression in Buck's story with hopefully more to come. After last weeks episode it would seem it would have been a tough act to follow, however this delivers well. The acting in this episode was spot on, particularly Oliver's performance who was obviously the star of the episode. Peter's performance as Bobby also stands out as well. I would just say that the episode could've have done with a bit more time as some elements felt rushed (maybe a two parter would've been better?) Overall though a fab episode. Looking forward to see what happens in the rest of the season and happy to have the show back after the winter break!

    AU episode

Loved the episode. Some great character development for Buck, and incredible performance by Oliver Stark. I hope from now on, Buck understands how loved he is by everyone. He is more than a firefighter. He has such a positive impact on everyone around him. To me, he is the heart of the show. He is a good friend, a good brother and overall a good person. He has always been my favorite character and i love to see him in the spotlight, specially when it doesn't involve annoying & poorly written love interests. The sperm donor storyline has also been all over the place. And personally, i don't vibe with the whole "forgive your terrible parents" message. I fully believe it's posible to heal from childhood trauma without forgiving and excusing the parents who caused it. Specially in this case where they didn't really atone or apologize for their mistakes. The Buckley's and Chimney's dad can go to hell imho. It made very little sense for them to suddenly be so reasonable and understanding. Other than that the episode was great. 9.5/10.
