The wife of a notable of the region is found drowned under the Legend Bridge in Sauveterre. Jeanne and Héloïse, childhood friends, must conduct the investigation together. Problem: the daughter of one has divorced the son of the other.

The corpse of Céline Casteran has been found in the river under the "Pont de la Légende de Sauveterre". The commander Jeanne Laborde and her collaborators Tchetche and Wannie was observing the corpse when the district attorney arrived with Héloïse Servat of the French Police of Pau.They notice that Céline had a medallion.Then the district attorney tells Jeanne that Héloïse will be in charge of the investigation and that she will need her collaboration.Both women go to the house of Jérémy Casteran who doesn't understand what his wife was doing in Sauveterre: besides Jérémy says that he saw his wife the fast last time at night, he traveled to Bayonne and came back at 7.30 am and that he never saw the medallion. Then Jeanne and Hïloise goes to the office of Céline; the door is open : the secretary says that she left the office at 6 p.m., Céline was working on her application for the management of patrimony.She recommends them to meet Guillaume Boniface, also a candidate for the management of the patrimony.He left the exhibition at 7 pm. and went to the house of his mother.Guillaume says that the medallion shows the portrait of the queen Sancha of Navarre who has been submitted to an ordeal (legend of the bridge of Sauveterre).—zutterjp48
