I had the chance to see 'Stay With Me' at the Rocaberti Writers Retreat in Girona, Spain, and it left a lasting impression. Set against a stark, icy backdrop that mirrors the emotional chill between its characters, this gripping short film explores how the small, unspoken grievances in a marriage can slowly build, until they avalanche.
The writing is crisp and restrained, allowing tension to simmer just beneath the surface. The cinematography is striking, making the frozen wilderness feel both beautiful and brutal. Without giving anything away, the final twist genuinely caught me off guard and was subtle, earned, and powerful.
'Stay With Me' is a haunting, beautifully crafted reminder of what's left unsaid and what's ultimately lost.
