Jamalaye Jibonto Bhanu

This film depicts the tale of an eminent scientist Samyomoy Banerjee, who invents a time machine in his residential laboratory to travel back in time into the past. But before introducing his new invention to the public, he meets with a sudden accident, shuttling between heaven, hell, purgatory and back to earth. There the inventor meets the comic actor Bhanu, played by Saswata Chatterjee, who suspects something fishy about the scientist's unnatural death and is right in his assumption. Bhanu promises scientist Samyomoy that he will make arrangements for his return to earth. What happens next unveils the journey between past and present times.

The story, dialogues and direction by #DrKrishnenduChatterjee is brilliant. He is true to his craft and his narrative style is simple and linear.

The script by is engaging.

#RishiRoyChoudhury & #ManasGangopadhyay being the cinematographers have done a fairly good job.

#ArghyakamalMitra's editing is crisp.

Music Director #RajaNarayanDeb has presented some superb retro chords to remember, keeping classic golden era as its raw base, which is applaudable.

Costume Department has used the costumes in such a seemless manner that it never looked beyond the character sketches. They looked tailor-made for the characters, which might have helped them to get into the skin of it.

Sound Designer #SamratRoy has done a good job.

As per the performances are concerned, #SaswataChatterjee as Bhanu Bandopadhyay was superb in his gestures, body-language and dialect of Bangal ( East Bengal ), #AmbarishBhattacharya as the scientist is good, #ParanBanerjee as Bidhata was sweet, #DarshanaBanik as Suchitra Sen looked gorgeous, #SandipBhattacharya as Yamraj was convincing, #ImonChakraborty, #SomaChakraborty, #SubhadeepChakraborty, #BasabdattaChatterjee as Ruma Guha Thakurta, #ShahebChattopadhyay as Indra Dev, #DebleenaDutt as Nilima Devi, #DebamoyMukherjee, #SubhasishMukherjee as Chitragupta and #AmayDebRoy as Gobeshak had their moments amply felt in their cameos.

Producer #SumanKumarDas from #BurimaChitram has made a fantastic film.

Don't afford to miss this ultimate satire. Definitely a Must Watch. 👍🏻

I just loved the movie..absolutely new concept,satire,pure fun,jovial acting of each and every artist! Saswata is outstanding here.specially I loved dialogues,those were like sixers,each and every words were written with so much care. Background music was outstanding. Raghab Chatterjee,JiniaRoy,Anwesha Dutta all sang very well. Mr. Manas Ganguly's cinematography was just the perfect.

Special thanks to Mr. Suman Das for showing courage to carry on this classic concept and bringing back the magic of our all time comedy king Mr. Bhanu Bandopadhay..the maestro!

A must watch for all Bengali movie lovers..Waiting for the 2nd part.

Nonsense movie, pathetic acting, pathetic script, pathetic costume. Detailing is utter nonsense. The dhoti of Apsara's like cheap pajamas from footpath. Totally waste. All acting is loud, slow, total mess.

If you put touch screen and think this will be very cool, this is a mistake. The story needs to be very powerful. After half time I am thinking of leave the theater. After sometime I am seeing people are sleeping. It's meant to be comedy, but there is no good dialogue to have smile, apart from a doctor in the que. Language is very poor, actual dialogue was " apni ektu daran ami ekkhuni niye aschhi", what we got, is "ektu wait korun". Seriously? In 1950s?

Ms. Priyamvada scene is also pathetic, what was subtle, fast, that became patheticly slow. Punning is also not well executed, which was USP of the character.
