Some weeks this is the best show! And some weeks it is terrible. I can't believe the actors don't refuse to act out the script some weeks. It is so bad. Actually we only watched half of this weeks show. This show is good when it is not trying to be a comedy. If the show gets cancelled it is the writers fault.
The best weeks are the ones with serious acting and a lot of police action. Do not put in so much of the private lives. Keep that part in the story but make it secondary to the police stories. Get rid of Leslie. Weak character. Add a few more strong characters. Add a better writer. Keep the show!

Enough with the annoying characters, and enough with the soap operas. This show is now a far cry from its entertaining first three seasons, and they seem to have dedicated themselves to figuring out how many irritating characters they can pack into a season.
First we have the horribly irritating woman they spun off into the FBI series. We had the irritating "look alike" Dim, who they thankfully killed off. The new "psychic" rookie partner irritates the hell out of me ... thankfully she was somehow left out of this episode, and "Randy" was a mistake from the beginning. Too bad they didn't kill off that character in this episode.
There was barely a real plot here, although they tried to include two. I couldn't keep track of the Randy plot since I tried my best to ignore his scenes, and the plot with the gangster's daughter was utterly pedestrian.
Despite us being Fillion fans in everything he's done, I am VERY close to pulling the plug on this series, which has become a directionless mess. A few weeks ago we dumped the new Magnum PI for similar reasons ... little concentration on a central plot in each episode, and multiple soap operas taking up space without providing any entertainment value. It's like these series are now being written by goofy teenagers instead of serious professional writers who know how to translate a compelling story into a script.

By far the worst episode for the Rookie. Are they trying to be a comedy? Worst yet who is casting such ridiculous actors with absolutely no talent. I really like this show but lately the episodes make no sense , no direction and worse yet where's Fillion the star. Tonight's show ihe was a bystander at best. So predictable and going nowhere. What is happening with this show. They keep this up and for sure next year will be it's last. I know it was given another year but please cut down a
On all the characters. Every week it's more of a comedy than a drama. Please someone Ho back to the original way.
Great episode. Love the chemistry and comedy.
Every time Skip tracer Randy shows up in the screen, I'm like why don't they just have him in the show every time they even get a Whig if an idea of putting on that annoying fbi lady
Because skip tracer Randy is brilliant. He a great a character that the actor has crafted to perfection. Most guest stars are great. Especially the firefly cast. But Randy is gold. I haven't seen a guest star pop like this since I watched an episode of true lies where the scream actor played an assassin. True gold.
Wait...it would be epic if they could get him on the show.
I love how this show still knows how to be really good. Yea, we have to suffer the fbi lady occasionally. And the reality tv camera episodes and angles are a nightmare. But 90% if all episodes are fantastic. Hope season 6 shines too.

This episode has a very good story about Tim's ex-wife needing help with a case involving someone she met when she was undercover. Tim, Lucy and Isabel were great, addressing the problems of been undercover or being the partner of the undercover one.
The episode also has a not-over-the-top light story about Bailey. If that was all, the episode would have fantastic.
But they decided to include Randy again, being completely over-the-top. And if that were not enough they decided to have fun with Angela's pregnancy, and it went all wrong.
So next time, cut the ridicule, please. A short cameo of Randy or a few scenes about Struggling Angela would have been ok, but what they did here was too much.

- TriviaThe maximum recommended dose for antacids is 10 in 24 hours or five at 1000 mg., while pregnant.
- GoofsThere is no way a public building like a police station wouldn't have an elevator that can help reach all areas (there's one that Lucy uses in the same episode, but it's presumably from the garage, and not to the second floor), it would be illegal to not provide access regardless of mobility levels.
