A good continuation, with more suspects.

A second body is discovered by a passing cyclist. Liz, a resident close to the first victim, believes that her partner Michael is somehow involved. Taggart is convinced that video shop owner Charlie Patterson is his man, he has him watched.

Maybe not a particularly dramatic continuation, but a good, detailed second episode. We see the development of Taggart and Livingstone's relationship, and we hear of a girl who he was close to, we'd later meet Helen Mendoza in Death Call. We also get the discovery of a second body, and that shifts the focus, with new suspects and more trouble for Taggart.

What has struck me, is how progressive some of the concepts are, consider that it's 1983, we have Mrs Patterson with a younger lover, we have the jogger with a young, gay lover, not so much that the themes were present, but how they were considered run of the mill, interesting.

We get out first proper introduction to Jean, she was such an important character, not just on the show, but in a wider context, nice to see a disabled actor in a big role. We're also introduced to Alison, their somewhat headstrong daughter.

It's pretty good, I'm keen to learn the outcome.

    7/10.
