Judge Milian is okay, though not as "legal" as in The People's Court (she voices a lot more personal experience and opinion than in the previous show). But the litigants are so over the top and the acting so unbelievable that it occasionally makes me laugh out loud. And as others have mentioned, the set looks like it's made of cardboard. It is somewhat entertaining, so I gave it 4 stars. But I still watch the original People's Court reruns, especially those I've not seen before or forgotten about. Hopefully, Ms. Milian will have future opportunities to host a more realistic show and forget about this scripted nonsense.
Really? Really Judge Milian. This is nothing like her other show that everyone loved and was loyal to. I don't know why they canceled it. Please go to another network. Pluto, Netflix, Hulu, anything is better. I don't think she will last on this. And where is Douglas? It's so weird without him. Together they made a team that made the show. I feel really bad for Judge Milian as she can do so much better. I don't know for sure, but this does seem scripted. Where is the old Judge Milian? Please, please don't continue on this platform. If your in a contract I understand, but as soon as it's over, get out.
I wanted to watch Judge Milian's new show and realized about 2 minutes in that this is scripted. I then came here to IMDB and sure enough, it lists the actors!!
First clue: the preamble announcing they don't use actors and these are real cases is gone Second clue: the set Third: the dirty looks from the "litigants" before the hearing started.
My local station airs TPC right after this new show. It allows one to see all the differences between the two show formats. Big difference.
And then I saw that this is a Byron Allen Production. That company produces Judge Mathis, Judge Mablean and the other scripted shows. There must be an audience for this but I'm not it.

I've been watching Justice for the People since it began. I was Thrilled to see Judge Milian back in the saddle as she is my favorite. Now I'm going to have to stop watching as I can take the fakeness any longer!
Everything about this show is fake, with the exception of Milian herself. They've hired actors to reenact old cases, and the acting is so bad it's laughable. Just horrible acting! The way the litigants glare at each other, is so manufactured it makes a viewer cringe. It was so awful that I actually googled to ask whether the litigants were actors to find tons of people discussing this!!
Here's the saddest part. I am of the opinion that Judge Milan is a very bright, personable yet professional Judge. She's simply the best and this show does her an injustice. Milian is way too professional and experienced for a show that's not authentic. Even her reactions seem different from the People's court.
Byron Allen, if you really want to maximize a ROI in exchange for Milan's star qualities, you need to get away from this scripted crap and bring back the authenticity that made Peoples Court the hit it was!!! PLEASE.

I'm so disappointed with this show. It is neither educational nor entertaining. It is scripted with very poor actors and by allowing the back and forth exchanges between the "litigants" is ridiculous. That behavior is not acceptable in a real courtroom and cheapens the show. The set is cold and cheap looking as is the sound. Even the closing music is annoying! It is much like fingernails on a blackboard. I have been a dedicated fan of Judge Marilyn Milan since she joined The People's Court. I recorded and watched daily episodes of that program. This show however, I'm not a fan and cannot watch.
