It was yet another fantastic day for Munjya as collections further rose on Sunday. The film is as it is over-performing on each of the days and after huge Saturday growth, there was huge interest in knowing whether Sunday would rise all over again. Last Sunday the growth was impacted due to India v/s Pakistan match but this Sunday there was no such distraction. Yes, there is competition from the new release Chandu Champion for sure, but then, on the other hand, Munjya is also a set movie with youth patronizing it in a big way.

This reflected well in Sunday collections which came to 8.75 crores. Now that’s a wonderful number because a film of this kind of budget could well have been content if these were the collections of the entire opening weekend.

That film had arrived on Eid but had a clash with Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, which evened out the advantage. On the other hand, Chandu Champion has arrived solo on a regular working day, but has to compete with last week’s Munjya. So in that sense, there is hardly much to differentiate the two films in terms having advantage at the box office.

It’s been a busy 2024 already for Bollywood star Kriti Sanon with back-to-back box office hits and her first film as producer due in the fall.

As revealed by Variety, Sanon and fellow A-list actor Kajol headline Netflix’s mystery thriller original film “Do Patti.” The film marks the producing debut of Sanon and writer Kanika Dhillon. One of Sanon’s most acclaimed acting roles is surrogacy comedy-drama “Mimi” (2021). Some of her thoughts and inputs that she discussed with director Laxman Utekar were incorporated into the film.

“I really enjoyed the whole process of how that film was made.
