I think I'm more confused at the rating of the show, than the show itself.
Anything that's rating over an 8, is clearly bought and paid for by Disney. This show does not YET reach an 8.... I hope it can get there. Realistically, I think its between a 6-7 (at best).
I think for all the hype this has had, it's been rather slow and predictable. Paying homage to Star Wars is one thing, but lifting lines, and scenes from it, felt less like a tribute and more like a struggle for ideas.
To leave the review on a good note, visually the show looks pretty good. But fans will always take a good story over great visuals. I hope in the end the larger story will bring it all back together.

This isn't animation and if you're only giving us 8 episodes, each should be 1 hour in length! Space battles are nice, but there's not much substance there.
The start of the episode was slow, but picked up a little and gave us more details and story building.
There could have been a bit more detail provided outside the space battle. That time was wasted on what we have already seen in Star Wars for many years.
The story was very thin however and stretched out a bit, and could have given us more substance and less fluff. More story driven scenes that promote the character development and less lasers.
The ending is abrupt and felt awkward.

This series so far is decent but it's suffering from a few issues. Some with casting, some with directing.
Hera's character is unbelievable - mixed with poor acting and too much makeup, she's like a pretty girl stuffed in a Star Wars outfit with cute but out of place expressions. Conversely all of the villains here are fantastic, especially Shin (the Ukrainian actress). Just a fantastic expressive performance. Very believable.
The overall problem I've found with this series is pacing, Ahsoka's character suffers at times due to her vacillating between a lethargic smug sage to a top fighting Jedi. The directing is also suffering from music overload. Intense music being overlaid on battle scenes and light saber fights is actually smothering the flow of the scenes. If you notice the music more than you notice the action then you've probably got too much music.
All that being said, this is probably my second favorite series behind The Mandalorian. I'm still holding out hope for this one to get better though as the villains are exceptional.

There is a major revelation that some fans will not like, but do the research, this is what George Lucas himself really thinks, and this time not just another stupid Disney idea.
Otherwise, this episode was shorter, kinda had a filler feeling, but the story had to be connected so I understand. I think the next one will hit. Rebels fans are treated again with some nice referneces and cameo characters, just as in previous episodes, hope this keeps up:)
I'm very satisfied with the show so far, not just because i'm a huge CW&Rebels fan, and this show is basically Rebels season 5, but because it really has star wars feeling and has the prequels' style.

Part three felt like a belated introduction on characters such as Mon Montha, Heda's son and the rest of the senate, which creates quite a large cast of villians and allies that had little to none significant action so far. Maybe this will lead to more drama and deaths later on. Adding the training for Sabine makes this episode an obvious personal development filler. Still it is hopeful that a filler contains both well executed references to older movies and series, and has a quite memorable surprise ending with great cinematics.
Adding the end-music makes this the series closest to the Mandalorian, but it is near impossible to live up to their main characters. Perhaps some non-introduced ones will do so.
