Handsome men and beautiful ladies populate this historical romance set in an era similar to the mid to late 1800's. This is an era where nobility plot and maneuver against each other for power while society is also undergoing change as wealthy businessmen compete against the nobility for power and status. This is a perfect setting for romance and intrigue.
The story is based on a completed Korean manga series - "The Reason Why Raeliana Ended Up At The Duke's Mansion" (Kanojo ga Koushaku-tei ni Itta Riyuu). The title may be long, but the manga series moves along quickly. I expect the anime series will prove lively and interesting.
The first episode packs in a lot of exposition to quickly set up the story. It seems that Eunha Park in modern Korea is pushed off a building and awakens in a different world. She is now Raeliana McMillan - and she knows that she will soon be murdered! In fact, she knows a lot of things about this world that normal people do not know. The reason - she enjoyed reading this as a novel titled "Beatrice" in her previous life!
Raeliana does not want to die a second time, so she sets out to change the story. Using her secret knowledge and sharp intellect, Raeliana must secure her safety with a fake romance, solve several mysteries, and overcome her misgivings about changing the story.
The artistic design is richly detailed and very appealing. The English dub actors are familiar and do a good job.
I highly recommend this.

This anime catches you from the first episode, I found myself binging it over one night.
One negative point is that the ending of the anime is open and keeps a lot of questions.
The rest of the manhwa has the rest of answers and it's beyond amazing I never expected such a storyline and plot twists from it to be fair, but I was beyond surprised.
There's a great character development that is so smooth that you don't even feel the change until you reflect on them earlier.
The animation is amazing.
I highly recommend watching this anime if you're into a good isekai romance with no whiny female characters. We don't see a lot of animes with strong female characters that comes on naturally.
Read the manhwa afterwards I hope it gets a season 2.

Why Raeliana Ended Up at the Duke's Mansion
is a captivating tale that weaves elements of mystery, romance, and fantasy into a compelling narrative. At its heart, the story follows Raeliana McMillan, a young woman who finds herself reincarnated into the world of a novel she once read. Unfortunately, she is now living as a minor character destined to die early in the plot. Determined to change her fate, Raeliana devises a plan to alter the course of events by aligning herself with the influential Duke Noah Wynknight.
The novel skillfully explores themes of destiny and choice, as Raeliana navigates the complexities of her new life and the intrigue of high society. Through clever strategy and a dash of courage, she strives to forge her own path, all while unraveling secrets that could alter the very fabric of the story's world. Along the way, she encounters unexpected friendships, dangerous adversaries, and even the possibility of true love.
"Why Raeliana Ended Up at the Duke's Mansion" is a delightful journey that captivates readers with its rich world-building and engaging characters. Each twist and turn keeps the audience eagerly turning pages, rooting for Raeliana as she defies the odds in pursuit of a future she can call her own.

I surprisingly really enjoyed this anime. I wasn't expecting much from it since it was an isekai from a completely new studio. But the Manhwa had a great rating so I gave it a try.
First of all, I think this isn't really like your other isekai adventure stories. The protagonist dies in her world and reincarnates as a side character of a novel she has already read. So, I found this plot very intriguing. That's what this anime was mainly about - the story. There are some nice things set up for future seasons and I think there might be some more plot twists ahead.
The pace is slow, but I don't mind it. I wouldn't mind seeing a slow pace in a good story, with some good characters.
Now, how's the romance? Very good. I'm surprised by how many good romances there are in Spring 2023. Usually, we hardly even get one. Noah and Raeliana are just adorable together. Their interactions are so entertaining to watch, funny yet cute at the same time.
Raeliana was a great character to root for. She was very smart and savage, but she showed different sides of herself when she was with Noah. I love how she dealt with various situations, using her witty words and intellect. But Noah too, was a great character, and it was fun to see different sides of him as well, with Raeliana. It was always fun to see him tease Raeliana given how much of a no-nonsense character he usually is.
I've read some criticisms about the animation, but I actually thought it was gorgeous. Especially for a new studio, this was very much above par. The opening and ending sequences were great, so was the soundtrack .
I liked how they portrayed the overall theme of survival and faith, because it played a major role in Raeliana's character story.
Overall, I enjoyed this anime. It might have been a bit too slow, but overall it's a good enough story to have a slow pace. That being said, this show should get a 2nd season. Because there are so many things set up in the story that it'll make no sense if it doesn't.

This anime is really a great creation such a plot twist and storyline i have never ever watched before . If I were to be honest I really liked Noah 's character the most when he kept flirting with raeliana all the time and though it seemed there were hardly a chance for romantic gestures between them ,the whole anime is filled with beautiful depiction of love in the French history if I am taking it right way . I want to see more of them and further just like I am addicted to the series . And more importantly of I put forward ,this animation deserves more seasons as there is much more content onwards to carry on the plot secondly which show hasn't got popularity for season 2 . We just want more and I am going to suggest this anime to my every colleagues .loved it ,waiting for more ,please don't disappoint us .
