Pros - I love the art style
Cons - The whole theme is "I'm kind of mean to everyone & I want my dad"
It feels like the show was only made because someone with a ton of money wanted to use it to manipulate his kids into wanting to be with him more.
You can have an interesting story without the girls being mean to each other & they should have more adventures than Sophia saying "I want my dad"
Like they literally have fire, earth, wind & water powers & beautifully drawn unicorns they could do so much more with this show & it feels like a wasted opportunity.
Like they could travel round the world, go to the beach, save a mermaid tangled in vines, solve mysteries & complete missions, everyone could use their powers together like with the old w.i.t.c.h. Series or have amazing adventures like with the old Totally Spies series, there's literally an all powerful witch, that gives the opportunity to write a story line about anything.
E.g. They need to help a griffin with an injured wing because the evil witch captured it but they helped it escape then they need special ingredients to make a healing potion and each of the riders could use their own skills & special powers in different ways to get the ingredients. Like water unicorn in a cave & plant unicorn can make a boat out of vines then they flood the cave to float to the top to get a special mushroom.

Barbie Dreamhouse Adventures, you are officially dethroned as my favorite series from Mainframe Studios. Yeah, I didn't expect to love Unicorn Academy as much as I did, but I like it. It's basically like Spirit Riding Free meets Winx Club meets Barbie: A Touch Of Magic (albeit with actual effort put into it compared to that mediocre show). It goes for a serialized story (which isn't surprising since it's a non-preschool show made for streaming) with episodes directly flowing into each other. It all leads to a show with strong character development and a sense of magical wonder and intensity. Give it a watch.
I love this show by my heart . I would highly recommend to watch this show and I would love to see third season and fourth and fifth season too. This show is fire. Please I would love to see more seasons please. 10 out of 10 best show on Netflix. Love the characters and unicorns too.

Of course, it being made for children, there are some annoying or cringe moments. That being said, most of the characters are very well fleshed out. They grow throughout the first season, not only as individuals but also as a group. There are a lot of lessons to be learned, and watching as an adult, it's quite refreshing that the drama is mostly realistic for teenagers.
The friendships depicted are in my opinion also quite realistic, and relatively healthy. Especially the bond that Sophia forms with her new BFF can teach a lot of young kids what a good friendship can really be like.
And then there's the magic, the unicorns, the school. It's quite reminiscent of Winx Club, but without the flying. And the villain with the sidekicks remind me of Fairytopia. It's not too dark, but still engaging enough.
Then the animation. In some scenes, it looks a bit wonky and it could have been animated smoother. Still, it looks nice enough that it didn't bother me too much.
All in all, it's a nice watch. It's not the best quality tv out there, but it's also not trying to be. It's fun, it's magical and there are a lot of laughs.

This is an amazing show, I love watching it with my daughters. I hope many more seasons to come. It's nice to have a fun adorable but exciting show to watch with my daughters. The new season just got released and we already watched them all. It has a lot of twist and turns just like a lot of shows. It has a lot of action in it, fantasy as well Iove all the bright colors and concepts. I love unicorns as well so this is perfect. I think any age can watch this show. Please update when the next season is coming.the sooner the better. Also more episodes for the season and longer please. 22min is way to short.
