WILHELM SCREAM: (High pitched) One of the Minions emits it when the bridge falls apart.
A dedicated team from Christopher Meledandri's Illumination Entertainment worked alongside Universal Orlando to create a hilarious new storyline and animation for the ride experience and pre-show queue.
Marks the first time Dr. Nefario is seen without his goggles.
Video for this ride includes: a 15 minute queue video on a loop, mostly repurposed from the films, with no voices except the minions and an announcer. Two separate 4-1/2 minute preshow videos (original footage), shown in separate staging areas. Finally, the actual 3-D ride video, which is 4 minutes long.
The ride has removed 3D glasses in Summer 2019. It is now a 2D version. In the first preshow, the 3D Goggles info is replaced by a "Life as a minion" documentary filled with a montage of various "Despicable Me" and "Minions" clips. In the second preshow, Gru no longer says "And so help me, do not put on your minion goggles yet!" and "Remember. No goggles yet. You do not want to test me on this one!". Margo no longer says "Do not put on your minion goggles until told to do so by a lab assistant.". During the loading announcements when everyone enters, Edith no longer says "Once in your seat, put on those goggles!".
