Fog Around August is a cinéma vérité glimpse at a young couple, August and Alex, as they discuss the raw and uncomfortable thorns of their relationship. August, the quieter and more closed-off of the two, is eager to finish his beer and go to bed, but Alex wants to take advantage of the night and connect with her partner. After August evades her advances, Alex calls him out and the two sit down and discuss their issues with intimacy.
