Another black hacker (one of the worst hollywood tropes) and bad villian regardless

After a really really good final episode for season 5, we find out who was behind it all. And they couldnt be more underwhelming and unimpressive.

Also, black hackers are a weird hollywood trope. Just make them a nerdy white super skinny or super fat nerd. Don't take this away from us.

And yes Juarezs superstitions are very annoying. She'd be a good character without the juju rubbish.

This show runs on Nathan Fillion and a likeable cast of characters. Which is more due the acting rather than the script. The writing is still horrible, probably some of the worst writing behind a successful show Ive seen. Theres a line between two of the officers in the car park which is one of the cringiest, detsetable lines ive ever heard and makes me dislike Lopez forever - its quite insulting how they write Latinos in this show.

    Bad JuJu???

As already mentioned, the show has become a circus and it's going downhill faster than a clown on a bicycle.

Another useless, pointless and annoying character is Officer Juarez and her constant & incessant superstitious mumbo jumbo verbal diarrhoea!! I know she's just acting out the script written for her but it's awful and they need to dial up her dialogue or get her killed off.

The set pieces and action sequences are good and very well carried out, so there is at least one redeeming quality.

But please please get rid of the bad juju before this show is only remembered for this and nothing else.

    Getting more and more cringe

This show's writing is getting so bad it's embarrassing. In "The Rookie" world if you're not a minority you can never do anything right. They even compared the "trauma" of giving birth by saying that a near death experience after getting shot is trivializing her experience. Nolan's boot, Juarez should never be a cop, she goes on in her work as as police officer with her feeling and her juju special power. I know cops can be superstitious That show as become so bad that it's almost a satire of what cops are, like an awful super trooper. I'm now sure that the writers of shows in the west can't write good television even if their lives depended on it. I just want good television again.

Now I remember why I didn't miss the show all autumn

The show has been going way down hill for a long time. This episode touched bases with all the "regulars" and their idiosyncrasies. Even Smitty put in an brief appearance. The cast is far to large and each seems to have say a sentence or two which doesn't advance the story. It used to be only slimy Wesley who was in every episode for no reason. This episode everyone had to crawl out of the woodwork. It is a cop show but there is far too much violence and throwbacks to old stories. Remind me again what's with the fake redheaded lawyer. The writers should focus on new stories and concentrate on a few main players per episode. Everyone doesn't have to put in two cents. The only high point is Officer Thorsen is back. Get rid of some of the others and concentrate on him. He is the best of the whole cast. Sorry Nathan, it is hard to tell you are supposed to be the star.

The whole point of the crooks having 'crazies' target the LAPD was for distraction, however they don't start their heist until after the situation has been dealt with and only made the cops more vigilant to unusual activity which in turned meant that Nolan responded to the check in anomaly sooner than he possibly would have.
