This is a fun watch if you're in the mood for a highly stylized story with lightweight emotions and highly quirky characters in a Nobody-finds-success-against-the-odds thanks to a time-slipped genius strategist from the Three Kingdoms era, Zhuge Liang. There's Chinese and Japanese dialogue. Just go with it. The FL has a lovely voice, no confidence and works at a dead-end job for an oddly endearing leopard-spot suited, skunk-haired club owner. Zhuge Liang appears in all his ancient courtly splendor in the seedy club district of Tokyo(?) and quickly adapts to his new surroundings. He hears her sing and decides she will help him achieve his life's work to bring peace to the people. To do this he helps her by applying the 36 stratagems he relied two millennia ago to win battles for Liu Bei during the warring states period in China. (Movie Red Cliffs for instance). The scenes at various clubs with the club kids in stuffy costumes and weird makeup is wonderfully fun. So is the quest to draw a rapper back to the stage. This is cute rather than deep, but very fun to watch. Many laugh out loud scenes.
