Year 2032. Thanks to the discovery of a gravitational disturbance between the orbits of Jupiter and Saturn, which turned out to be a gravitational tunnel, travel to the Andromeda Galaxy suddenly became possible for man. The Polaris crew is sent on their first intergalactic mission. Three pairs of specialists from different fields of science will discover a new home for humanity. However, behind every such mission there is also a desire for profit, in the face of which human life has the least value. In addition, the crew members, despite assurances, are not aware of all the conditions on the planet, and the matter is complicated by the fact that the biggest sponsor of the expedition - the Real Life corporation - wants a live broadcast. Polaris arrives at Alpha, which impresses everyone: stunning nature, lack of predators, atmosphere similar to Earth... But beneath the phenomenal surface there is a dark secret and an unknown, unseen force.
