Emotional movie with excellent acting that will keep you captivated until the very last frame

There are many movies about what happens in prison, but only few about what happens to the families of those, who are in prison. "La mujer de la fila" tells a very raw and real story of a mother that tries to hold her family together, while trying to fight justice for her imprisoned son.

Natalia Oreiro delivers a mesmerizing performance, while carrying the emotional weight of the story. She brings depth and vulnerability to her character, making every scene pulse with authenticity and tension.

The film's slow-burning atmosphere and precise direction create a deep, emotional experience.

The movie will keep you fully captivated until the very last frame.

COULD BE YOU IN LINE TOO

Excellent portrayal of real, gut wrench level life coming your way, when you least expect it, how you react or don't, & what becomes of all the suffering from this visiting life lesson. I did some jail counseling for two years & can report the accuracy of the theme & how people handle it. In this movie, the cliché of: "you can't fight city hall" is splashed all over you & seeing how the different people cope or withdraw hits the butterflies that live in your own stomach. Couldn't happen to you? LOL as when you say or think that, guess what you are summoning. The movie drives home powerlessness or surrender to a greater more powerful unloving system. The actors held up quite well & any hidden judgments within the viewer are exposed. It's raw at times but that is what makes it memorable & seals the lesson presented. Be careful not to feel sorry for criminals as no one accidently puts themselves in jail, court systems etc., but instead say to yourself: God help me to stay out of these events similar to the Lord's prayer asking not to be led into a temptation & to just learn a lesson in the e-z stages. Just make me reachable & teachable & spare me the hard-knock journey depicted in this movie. Let what this movie can do, do for you, whatever that is. Thank you & behave.

    Bad

Once again, Argentine cinema romanticizes crime and marginalization. The film, based on a true story, attempts to portray the hardships endured by the families of prisoners and, in one way or another, victimize the criminals. The result is a film that is irritating due to its repetitive themes. Even the good performances of some of the leads, in my opinion, don't elevate it.

    Terrible plot

Watched 30 minutes and you see a karen who doesn't care what the son did and just thinks of getting him out of jail. It's not intriguing at all. Very annoying to watch. Did not capture the audience at all. The story line and characters are faulty. I can't believe Netflix has such terrible movies to waste people's time.

    You should watch this

I've read people writing here "this is a movie that romanticize criminals" of course they didnt get any part of it and they never will because they are not capable of. Wonderful script, very good acting. This film is about the ones who are outside not inside, their own hell they must go through. A film for those who are sensitive and can put theirselves in somene else's shoes.
