Has high hopes but the show moves so slowly. Three mystery singers and a large audience of a very eclectic group of potential players along with a couple of contestants who really have no impact on anything other that chewing up the clock. The rules are explained over and over along with what's next so many times but it's needed because some of it does not make sense and watching it just makes we hope any following episodes get cleaned up. It's sad that the longest lasting game shows are simple but they do not seem to get that. The host does on ok job and I get he likes his mom but I don't tune in for that stuff.

If you like celebrity trivia and guessing games, you will like this show. It's nice to see real people being cast to play and win money instead of just "voting" and only seeing celebrities (not that that isn't enjoyable on other shows, don't get me wrong). They've combined it all and it's light and fun! As with all other shows, they usually get better with each season, as they navigate what works and what doesn't. I bet this is going to be just like that! I think it's a great concept, and again, light and fun! Turn off the stress brain for an hour. Anderson and his mama are great! I kinda wanna try out for this one. Lol!
Wow the stakes are low with insignificant prizes that are shared.... So dumb and convoluted. A lot of uninteresting random people talking and joking way too much that are boring! Bring back To Tell The Truth such a better show!! Also they have boring D-list celebrities that add nothing to the show. For me a good game show has as many interesting comics as contestants so the banter is high level and actually entertaining. Also Mama has no real purpose here like she did on To Tell The Truth. So dumb and confusing I predict that it gets cancelled and hopefully To Tell The Truth comes back to Hulu.
Like "The Masked Singer", this show features hidden celebrities. But on "The Masked Singer", the singers compete against each other; there are no contestants. "We Are Family" has an audience of 100 contestants and they compete for money. Also like "The Masked Singer", the hidden celebrities are not all Grammy-winning singers, and clues to their identities are provided.
Anthony Anderson hosts this show with the assistance of his mother, of course, where $150,000 is awarded each episode. In two rounds, relatives of celebrities sing alone and then in duet with their famous relatives. During this process, clues are given as to who is hidden behind a "super sphere", which sometimes reveals a silhouette of the celeb. In each round, contestants get two guesses.
At the end of round one, the contestants who guess correctly split $20,000. Those who guess correctly after round two split $30,000. The contestant who correctly guesses the fastest (in both rounds) becomes the "star player", who then plays alone trying to guess the identity of a final celebrity as he/she sings with a relative and five clues are given. The prize for guessing correctly after the first clue is $100,000. Lesser amounts are awarded after subsequent clues. An incorrect guess yields zero dollars. The audience remains the same over multiple episodes, so the contestants try to rack up money over the course of the season.
Two suggestions for viewers: 1) If you read the cast listing, there are spoilers and 2) some of the comments by the relatives could be red herrings.
This is an entertaining show. The vocal performances vary in quality, but they are mostly enjoyable. There are also some touching moments between family members. Along the way, Anderson solicits guesses from audience members, and some of them are plain stupid.

WE ARE FAMILY is an enthralling one-of-a-kind game show that features family members, one of them famous, singing together on stage. Listen closely to the harmonies. They take me back to my roots growing up in the 1960s singing along to girl groups like The Supremes and performing in talent shows as a vocalist. In college, I majored in classical piano, attended concerts in New York City, and attended an opera with Luciano Pavarotti. I am passionate about music. I look forward to future episodes produced by the amazing Jamie Foxx who starred in RAY. This is a 2004 American biographical musical drama film focusing on 30 years in the life of rhythm and blues musician Ray Charles. Ten Beautiful Stars!
