After watching this episode, I am left wondering what is the point of it all. Over the series we get to care most of all for Guillermo, at least myself, I do not care for the buffoon characters of the vampires. . . They are just too narcissistic and stupid, and in a big hurry to win a Darwin award.
The show is all about Guillermo. . . And when the push comes to shove. What do we get? Nothing more than a reset of the story without any logic.
And for the shame of it, the moral conflict of Guillermo and the new setting would have been so interesting.
The first episode of the next season might as well be the first of the entire series. Why should watch a stagnant series. . . A story that has no direction or purpose behind it?
But at least this episode has some merits: it has convinced me not to watch the next season.

After a couple of shaky episodes at the start of the first season, "What We Do In The Shadows" has been a delight. The fourth season re-established the status quo amongst the characters, with Colin Robinson being back as he was. This season shakes things up a little with a bigger role for Nadia's doll spirit and by promoting Kristen Schall to a series regular.
Guillermo (Harvey Gullien) has committed the ultimate sin within the Vampire world and gone to a different Vampire, other than his master, to turn him. However, the transformation has, for some reason not completed properly. He confides in Laszlo (Matt Berry) who looks into it whilst they desperately try not to let Nandor (Kayvan Novak) find out. The Guide (Kristen Schall) joins the gang more frequently, but is often ignored or forgotten about by the rest of them.
So, the big season long storylines this time are the arrival of The Guide into the house and Guillermo's betrayal, which everyone except Nandor learns about pretty early on. I do think it's a shame how that Guillermo storyline ends up, as, similar to the previous seasons Colin Robinson plot, it would have been a way to change and refresh the show that it's passed up on. I do like that, unlike other shows that took this documentary approach - "WWDITS" not only remembers to stick to the concept, but also uses it - with it being a key point, as well as an opportunity for some meta humour, in resolving The Guides plotline.
Whilst the show has been of high quality for several seasons now, I do think that this run is perhaps the best that they've done. We're not quite as cameo heavy, as we have been in some other runs, but both John Slattery and Patton Oswalt appear as themselves and Hannibal Buress and Robert Smigel as characters. It's probably the most consistently funny the series has been. Looking forward to season six.

Another season down, a shame as I really look forward to these each week, so this is a finale, it's a fine finale not the best of previous episodes though.
In our final episode, Guillermo is on the run and hiding from Nandor as he plans to kill him for being turned by Derek, we get all the vampires saying there goodbyes to him, the episode escalates further and we get some good scenes, some good vampire scenes, we end in a strange place and I'm looking forward to next summer.
I'm not super into what happens at the end of the episode I feel like a lot of episodes before feel a bit pointless and now making a new season which I thought would be of discovery and adventures after a certain scene but then the end makes me feel, what next, I'm not unhappy I thought it was good just a very different ending than expected, thanks to the whole team for another great season, KEEP THEM COMING.
