Lullaby

The basic good point is the generositz of clues for presumed viewer interpretations of a collection of puzzle pieces and the faur order to put them one near other.

A young woman, the visit of mother , her try to sleep and a past event - maybe the death - kill of her son , maybe her hate against boy as axis.

Clothes and prepair of a soup.

The basement invaded by water.

The clothes , rain clothes of a child.

And the cinematography as main source of attraction in this case. A film about the clash against past and it seems just enough for not ignore this special short film about present dominated by haunting memories. Inspired last scene.

No pun intended - a short movie that is ... well it is out there and it is open to interpretation. What is real and what is only a fantasy - her fantasy. Lullaby is the name of the game - though not in the sense that the viewer will be lulled into sleeping.

The acting is really good - and there is a quality to the story, to the other world and to the relationship between the characters. The shoot looks like it was quite intense - and not too easy. All that water - and what it represents - not that much dialog, but when a movie shines through its visuals, you do not need that anyway.

It is the mood this creates - you either dig it or you don't ... if it's the latter, you will be wasting your time ...
