Sometimes things happen that can change someone's life forever. On her 31st birthday, Charlotte Zwanzig learns quite tragically that she has a serious illness and that her life has changed completely as a result. Stephan Taubert's new film shows very well how she changes as a result and has to find a way back to life, played wonderfully by Maxi Remus. At the end of the premiere there was a well-deserved Oscar not only for her. The love for her family, her boyfriend, as well as the love between a father and his son are the central themes of the film. A superbly written script with lots of humor, but also drama and emotional scenes that are wonderfully implemented. This is what more films from the independent industry should look like. A big shout out to everyone who made this film! Wonderfully done!
Let's celebrate life! You could best imagine Stephan Taubert's new film *A Second Chance* under this motto. Since his last film was unfortunately a few years ago and new projects could no longer be realized thanks to Corona, I am happy that he has made another new project, especially in the independent industry. There are only a few who work in this area and really put so much effort into producing a beautiful film that you can watch with few resources and good people. But with his latest work he has succeeded in doing this once again and it is a profound story about the love between a father and his son, as well as that of the main character for his family and friends and, above all, themes such as loyalty, emotions and humanity are of great importance Value. Don't miss out on films like this!
I also went to the premiere of *A Second Chance* at the Passage Cinemas in Leipzig on May 4th because I was really looking forward to Stephan Taubert's new film. I wasn't disappointed in the least, the film turned out really wonderful! During the pandemic, he often said that he didn't want to make films anymore and that he had lost his love for it, but if you have the right people with you, it'll work out again! I am very grateful to have been able to watch this film last night and would immediately recommend it to everyone. Love, humanity and, above all, loyalty are among the points that make up *A Second Chance*. Not only romantic love, but also the love between father and son plays a major role. The actors all did a great job and the whole setting and editing was just great! Guys, watch this film and help Stephan and his team continue to make his works better known. 10/10.
I was able to see the film at its premiere last night at the Passage Cinemas in Leipzig and it was a really great celebration! After almost 6 years, Stephan has put together a great team again and made a really nice film that you should definitely watch! I'm glad he didn't give up filmmaking after all. There are so many filmmakers in the independent sector who just keep doing the same thing, but nothing really good comes out of it, so I hope to see more from Stephan and his team after this successful comeback. Also a great thank you to the cast for this touching film, it was just great! Its 9/10.
One thing you can say about Stephan's films is that they may not always have the latest story, but you can always see in every film that he always wants to get the best out of the few things that are available to him. This time too he succeeded wonderfully. It's been 18 years since his first film, which was used as a triple premiere this year. A new film, anniversary of the first film and a completely new song written for the film for the first time. The best thing you can really say is that words like love, humanity and loyalty best describe this film. The love between a father and his son, the humanity that the main actress has to find again after her long, serious illness and the loyalty and love of her friends. Guys, the film may not have the latest basic idea, but it's definitely worth seeing and really beautifully done!

- TriviaThis film was originally supposed to be shot over spring and summer in 2020, but due to the corona pandemic, production was cancelled. Almost 3 years later, in February 2023, the production was restarted, but the project had to be completely recreated and the script was also rewritten again. Some people behind the camera had to be replaced and some roles with new actors had to be cast.
