August (Lucas Lynggaard Tønnesen, 1899, The Rain), a young chef with big dreams, gets an opportunity at a top-tier Nordic Michelin restaurant. The uncompromising eccentric chef, André, pushes him to the limit throughout the evening to see if he can perform under tremendous pressure. August hides his mistakes due to fear of failure and high expectations, eventually leading to catastrophic consequences. The fictional short film, Salmon, is about the pursuit of greatness in a competitive Nordic kitchen where the threat of replacement is always present.
