Mentally Draining and Bad for the Blood Pressure

The story line was good, it started off nicely and was engaging but then it dragged on and all scenes became the same. For 90 episodes, all scenes were full of hatred, pain, anger, revenge, manipulation - it became the same over and over and over again.

There were no happy moments, or moments of celebration, only one love blossomed the rest fizzled out. It is ok to put happy scenes in movies to give the watcher relief from the anger and backstabbing.

Fay Karam was an absolute witch and made the last 20-30 episodes unbearable to watch. The ending was poor; achievement for one person, at the expense of everyone else.

Most of the series gave me anxiety and high blood pressure, I really didn't enjoy it and would not recommend watching it.

On the positive side, I thought the lead actors were great, good looking, well dressed and the acting was excellent - well done to the actors that played Fay, Alia, Jawad and Bassel.

    Turkish Drama Queeeeeeeeeeeeeeeens

What was I thinking? It's based on a Turkish drama that's based on stories from an alternative reality that never happens in our world. Like seriously the amount of coincidences in this show is out of control, almost Bollywood-level. If you hate someone and would like to cause them diabetes and hypertension or you know... Cause their brain cells to just cease to exist, this is a good series to suggest for them 😉 The only good thing about this show is the main actors and actresses, good acting skills IMO. Other than that, it hurts my brain to just try to find something positive to say about this hot garbage.

I wish middle eastern production companies would drop this obsession with Turkish media!!!

    disappointed.

One of the most frustrating works ever, as a super fan of TV , this work made me angry all the time, things happen and nobody says anything about anything. For 88 episodes? Some people do some horrible stuff and it goes like haa the watcher will forget, come on.

A TV show needs to give chillings, needs to have a plot, ups and downs, a plot twist, a semi plot twist and even if there is one, it ends so poorly! No rising points which ends with satisfaction to the viewer, this work gave me zero satisfaction.

+ the poor acting except for Mahmoud , though I love the actors so much.

    It's a mega failure.

    Capturing from the first episode

This is a very interesting ajd engaging series that showcases the contemporary and traditional culture in Lebanon. Great looking actors and entertaining.

This series is based on a Turkish series produced in 2014 called Güllerin Savasi.

The events are similar but the Lebanese cultural flavour is different than its Turkish counterpart. The ending is also different than the Turkish original series.

The plots are not very complicated but there are a few twists here and there. Watch this as a couple and sometimes having a glass of wine and a snack can add to the experience.

There are other hidden gems like this but sadly the translation or dubb does not give it its right but yet it is watchable.

    Nice story but mentally exhausting

Every single episode someone faints and goes to the hospital, give us a break! Also why the too much shouting, screaming and exaggeration? Why prolong the series to 90 episodes of revenge, games, manipulation, it gets exhausting and boring. The revenge got too prolonged and extreme. This series should have ended with forgiveness rather than constant grudges and hate. The coincidences are also excessive and not realistic. Fay came from a humble home with hardly any income initially but she dresses excessively so well and sometimes expensive, that didn't make sense!

Anyway my favourite characters were Pamela and Bassel. I love how Pamela has great emotional intelligence, a strong and confident woman. The script is also well written in some scenes.
