It tries too hard to be random and chaotic. I usually love absurdist humor but I don't like the way this show does absurdist humor. Typically shows with absurdist humor like Regular Show start out very normal, esclatae then get very crazy. This show tries to jump right into very wild plots and its not fun. The title of the show is also pretty bad. Why is it called Oh My God... Yes! A Series of Extremely Relatable Circumstances? It doesn't tell you much about the show, the world, or the characters. I brought up Regular Show earlier in this post. The name Regular Show is very ironic but every episode begins with something very simple like Mordocaei and Rigby set up the chairs, then the plot ends up being very wild contradicting its name. Jumping right into the craziness just doesn't work as well in my opinion.
I just watched the first four episodes in a row and my only complaint is that they aren't long enough! There are plenty of female led animated series that exist. I love Yolo and was a fan of Tuca and Bertie. But there is something about OMG YES! That gives me just the right about of absolute stupid mixed with oddly genius that I've been craving! Sunny isn't likable and that's what I LOVE about her. She isn't trying to be! It's refreshing to see a female protagonist have a devil-may-care attitude. Ladi and Tulip add a great balance to her chaos. If all three were harsh, the show might be a bit difficult to stomach. But Tulips sweetness and Ladi's intelligence/action based way of moving about the world strikes a great balance. Some of the dialogue is a bit hard to understand so I would recommend using subtitles if your'e hearing isn't A-1 like mine. Otherwise, kickback and try to relax watching this wild show. You might be laughing to hard to do the latter.
I just heard about this show a couple of days ago. And I just finished bingeing the first 4 episodes. People complain about the animation style but it's not as bad as a lot of adult animated comedies out there. Even still, a show not looking like it cost a million bucks Is no reason to not give it a chance. This show rocks. It's not an eye soar. The colors are stunning, the backdrops are so beautiful and detailed. The dialogue and jokes are a bit on the nose but it's clear that that is by design! Beyond the silliness and randomness is deep message about our inner emotional worlds and friendships. I can't wait to see where this show goes. The first episode wasn't that strong but each episode gets better and BETTER! I swear! Ive seen previews for episode 5 and I'm too excited!
Couldn't stomach the animation style long enough to follow the randomness. The visuals were so jarring, overwhelming, and disorienting that I couldn't focus on a single other than the vibrant hair choices.
It felt like a constant barrage of chaos that only made my head spin, making it nearly impossible to connect with any aspect of the show. I tried to push through, but the animation style alone was enough to make me want to turn it off.
Attempted to get inebriated, thinking maybe some altered state of mind would help me find a way to enjoy this, but that didn't work either. The visuals, the pacing, the randomness-it all just kept hitting me in ways that was lowering IQ.
Thought maybe I'd try getting zooted to shift my perspective, but nope, that didn't change a thing either. It was just as painful to watch in that state.
The chaos was unbearable, and it was clear that this wasn't going to work for me in any scenario. If you genuinely find this funny and entertaining, you are rebarded*, but honestly, I just can't see how. I honestly wish I could understand the appeal, but after trying to enjoy it in various states of mind, idk.
Peace and Blessings,

Peace and Blessings,
The other reviews leaving 3/10 are being too kind. The show lack direction or purpose. Feels like poor sloppy writing. Tries to develop relatability by sharing content that would be in a fluffy psychology podcast. Any attempt of connection to reliability is done by superficial means.
Show could become more depth if it dropped it's unnecessary content and shared it depth based on actual struggles every day individuals face across the episode versus using one liners for comedic relief.
Like others describe the episodes revolve around victimhood removing accountability and placing it on others. The show teaches all the qualities you should not have. A great watch for psychology students to observe mal adaptive coping mechanisms.
