Edit
Producer, Actor Chandru Asrani passed away before the film could release.
The film was 28 years in the making due to financial problems. The film was started in 1962 and as of 1990 it was still unreleased. The year 1980 was when Chandru was hoping to finally release the film. Chandru passed away without seeing the film released. Director Arjun Hingorani bought the films distribution rights in the 2000's. What he is planning to do with the film still remains unclear.
A different type of film was used when the filming started in the late 60's.The film was almost black and white. Later the producer used regular Kodak film.
Producer, actor Chandru Asrani offered Biddu a lot of money to compose 2 songs for the film. This was done with the hope that the 2 English songs recorded might attract distributors to buy the film . This was recorded during the height of popularity of Qurbani. Biddu agreed feeling sorry for the man.
The hero Chandru Asrani was on his way to watch a film when he saw a girl who asked him for a ride. That is how actress Rani Deepa signed the film.
