I have no idea how is this k-drama considered comedy. I was looking to watch a good comedy k-drama after finishing one comedy k-drama and liking it, only to end up surprised by this one. See you in my 19th life is a very tragic show, it represents melancholy and many other feelings and it definitely made me cry for hours although it's rare for me to feel this emotional over shows. If you're looking for a comedy show, this is NOT the one, I'm not sure of the original source material but the adaptation isn't comedy. But if you're looking for a show that will make you on edge and test your emotions and make you think about your priorities, then this show will make you have a good cry while doing so!
I honestly would've given this 10 stars but some of it isn't historically accurate, but other than that it is such a good k drama. It was a roller coaster of emotions for me. And the fact I couldn't predict what was going to happen was the best. Usually in shows I can predict everything but this show was different and I live that about it. The acting at times was a tad cringe, but I found it apart of the character but I could be wrong. I think they could've explained the age gap between Ban Ji Eum and Mun Seo Ha because it was kind of confusing for me at times. Like I knew he was older but... how much older? I felt like the show was rushed towards the end, especially in the last episode. But it was a very different Asian drama compared to the ones I typically watch. I would recommend this show to anybody who loves a dramatic romance with side plots. Overall, it was an amazing tv show and though I would not rewatch it (because it has too long of episodes for my taste) it was amazing.
This series is a sci-fi where the main actor is living her 19th life as the title already suggests.
Great actors and acting but not much chemistry between the actors. Probably due to slow paced storyline which could have been difficult for the director to mold into something with more suspense and chemistry. The storyline itself is full of holes, meaning unrealistic situations or storyline that either make no sense or that feel too 'cold'. In addition there are way too many flashbacks and repetition of same frames. It must have been a hell of a job for the actors to work through this. Kudos to them and the entire team for sticking through it all and for delivering an acceptable result.
To the individuals who are pointing out that alcohol was invented in Iran and who are so upset: please don't be upset at this show. Be concerned about your leaders in your county who kills girls that wear no scarf and who have banned alcohol. Don't take this show as a documentary where every fact is correct. This show is a sci-fi and almost no facts in this show are correct or true. It's just for entertainment.
I would urge you to stop spreading hate and to start spreading love. It starts with YOU.

Another Hye-Sun Shin delight. She successfully gives us a character who is so enigmatic as to be utterly compelling to the very confused object of her love interest. In doing so she also draws us in.
The multiple lives plot device does require some explanatory effort from the series and at times it feels as if it is getting in the way of the romance. Gradually, however, I began to buy-in to what had at times felt like a distraction and gained a degree of buy-in to the need for her character to undo the "curse" that caused her to remember her past lives. Ando so the final episodes did have emotional resonance for me.
Overall a delightful series.

What a ride!!!
This was pure joy to watch...I know it was also, sadness, and frustration, and fear, and a lot of anger and heartbreak. But it had all The good feelings too!!
It is of course a very passionate and sweet love story, one of those epic love stories that transcends time and space and no one can't stop from happening. But it is more than that.
This series is about a deeper kind of love. A deep love with that feeling of longing, of wanting to live the best things in life with the people you love, to share with them all their problems and worries and being able to give them hope and care for them when they need you the most.
That love that you need every day to keep you going. The love that gives you that very warm feeling of belonging.
It was such an amazing story full of learnings and so beautifully written.
The chemistry between the main leads is good and I just have to make a special mention about the exceptional acting of Shin Hye Sun. In case you don't know her yet, you need to watch the rest of her work quickly. She is one of the most talented and multifaceted actresses in South Korea and she can literally transform herself into any character and personality she wants. In this series yet again, she is just going from comedy to drama, passing through every single emotion possible and she literally nails every single one of them. She is just formidable.
The pace was perfect, i would have wished it would have lasted a few more episodes but just because I was enjoying it so much, but the ending wasn't rushed and everything fell into place quite nicely. No holes in the story and no clichés, well written characters too.
