This movie was filmed in a real working police station in Madison, Florida, featuring many real police officers in small roles, real police cars and equipment. The town of Madison was very supportive and helpful to the production.
Some scenes were re-shot a year later. The core cast and crew returned to Madison, Florida in February 2014 to shoot additional scenes and re-shot a key scene in Orlando, FL at Odin's Den in Winter Park, Florida.
In the scenes where detective Matthews is drinking excessively. He was actually drinking apple juice.
