Francis Fulton-Smith and Sebastian Rudolph in Public Enemies (2014)

Trivia

Public Enemies

Edit
Franziska Augstein, the daughter of Rudolf Augstein, wrote a commentary article in the "Süddeutsche Zeitung" about this movie, in which she complained about inaccuracies in the movie. She compared however this movie to "All The President's Men" and said that director Roland Suso Richter watched the movie very closely and adapted it for Germany. She also said that Sebastian Rudolph portrayed her father Rudolf Augstein well, even if he didn't have an accent unlike in the movie.
Rudolf Augsteins ex wife Gisela Stelly Augstein said that the character Augstein has nothing in common with the real Augstein, not from the looks and not as a character.
Otto Mellies, who plays Chancellor Konrad Adenauer in this movie, also starred in Ich - Axel Caesar Springer (1968), another TV production about the connection between print media and politics and was also partly set in the 1960s.
