The Good Bear and the Bad Bear

It's wash day and grandmother bear is coming to dinner. So Mama Bear sends your two cubs to the shop to get them out of the way. But they go down the wrong path and get in a lot of trouble. Can anything save them from a beating?

Fortunately for them, this is a commercial for Rinso laundry soap. George Pal did a lot of commercials in this period, for Philips Electronics, and margarine, and Rinso laundry soap. Like most of his cel-animated work, the background work is elaborate and the character design is exceedingly flat. And there's a crow, of course.

Pal would go on to make Oscar-nominated stop-motion short subjects for Paramount, and effect-laden features. But everyone has to start somewhere, and this is a very good start.
