In a summary, this story misses on the very science of story telling.
It starts off with a twin show, making you believe there's something more to them, one is lying one isn't, keeps you guessing and keeps you intrigued. Gives you a very thriller/suspense vibe by focusing on the polar opposites sister and the "ma ji" character- who appears to be mysterious and suggesting there's more to the story she's trying to sell (all that flashback)
Then SUDDENLY, out of no where this movie becomes all about a social issue. Hands down, it's a very important social issue and needs addressing but the way this movie randomly jumps on it was VERY random, sudden, abrupt and not coherent at all.
It's like you watch a movie about race car driving and then it suddenly becomes about prostitution that happens on red light signals and goes all in on it. You're left confused.
Kriti acted really good and you'd buy her as two opposite characters- however, how this movie ended, we absolutely did not need two characters. One was enough!
Kajol is a natural at this point, acting is like sipping water for her so all the praises to her craft!
The guy in the movie is really good too!
Writing seems like they stitched two VERY different movies together. From a character piece to a social issue narrative.
Good scenic shots here and there.
Over all a very confused movie with good performances.

Could have been better with potential starcast.
Basic criteria for releasing on OTT is that it should have slangs even from main leads (BC, MC etc), Is it really embedded as our daily vocabulary?
"Do patti" tackles the sensitive subject of domestic violence but falls short in its execution. The film attempts to shed light on a crucial issue, yet its treatment lacks depth and nuance. Characters often come across as one-dimensional, failing to evoke genuine empathy or connection. The dialogue feels forced, and the pacing undermines the gravity of the topic. Rather than delivering a powerful message, the film's presentation feels superficial and lacks conviction. While the intentions may be commendable, the overall impact is diluted, leaving viewers wanting a more authentic and compelling exploration of such a critical issue.
It has way too many plot twists that ruin the story. Although the beginning is interesting, the constant surprises make it hard to connect with the characters. By the end, instead of being excited, viewers feel confused. This film shows that sometimes it's better to keep things simple for a better story.

This movie seemed half cooked biriyani to me. As if trying to make biriyani with only 2/3 spices. They could have done so much if the material was well cooked, it just felt flat. The only thing I liked in this movie is Shaheer Sheikh. I am used to seeing him being the good guy, he surprised me. Loved to hate him. Kriti could have done so much better. Shailee Kriti- we have seen before, Repetitive. And Saumya Kriti couldn't convince me. And the story that Tanvi Azmi said to Kajol, that was not explained later, was it sister rivalry or was it guilt? Kajol did a mediocre job. All in all i only liked Shaheer Sheikh seeing in negative light.
Anwar Says: I was eagerly waiting for this movie after watching the trailer on a sensitive subject of Domestic abuse but I am extremely disappointed. Neither the Kanika Dhillon has been able to narrate the story nor the director Shashanka Chaturvedi has been able to convey it through her characters. I also pity for Kirti Senon first production, she should stick to her main job.
Kirti tried to save the movie in her double appearance but the the script is so scattered and the story is so predictable that she couldn't succeed. Role of Kajol , a natural actor, is so weakly written and the Haryanvi accent doesn't suit to her tongue. Even the anti-climax would hardly put any impact.
Subject like home violence, PTSD etc. Need more serious and meticulous handling and only choosing the subject and good casting do not make a good film.

The movie should please masses for whom it is meant. Stories of identical twin sisters one simple, timid, introverted and the other clever, daring, bad were seen in quite a few movies. The contrast between both characters makes a nice basis for plot twists and surprises and it also allows the actor to showcase her talent in two contrasting roles.
This movie sticks to this popular narrative and keeps the audience glued to the screen even though a few sequences lack credibility. It's all about the good girl bad girl syndrome seen many times on the screen. At places the scenes are trite and formulaic.
Kriti Sanon makes the best of the two characterisations and does impress in the diverse characters. She has done well in both avatars, the neurotic and the one with swagger. Shaheer Sheikh plays the young and dashing businessman who marries the timid Kriti but he has a horrible temper leading to domestic violence. The movie depicts him as a wife beating monster and clearly misogynistic. Karol plays a police Inspector cum lawyer with sincerity who not only investigates the case but also argues in court. Is this credible? The court scenes also lack conviction.
