wow! excellent, makes your heart race
After so many lies and injustices with poor Jean, finally the true story of the brazilian being executed by British police told by them. The series is very well made, excellent acting of an unfortunate day.
The story follows a documentary police line, showing the individualities of each character, their emotions, the moments of their lives at the time: Jean, the ordinary people who were around him at the time, the police officers involved and even the terrorists. It makes you feel a seesaw of feelings that involve pressure, fear, indignation, many lies, media manipulation, injustices. An action thriller with many emotions. It is well worth watching.

Just very very sad and unfortunate
This one made me very very angry what happened to this poor and innocent man ..and even more schocking is the fact that the police tried to cover up ,again and again and again ... this man was simply brutally murdered ...may this man rest in peace and his family find comfort and courage in this terrific tragedy ... to the police officers who killed this innocent man ..shame on you ..shame on you ....to the police chief ..shame on you ...to the uk justice shame on you ....:,people should not have to die in the hands of people who are supposed to protect them ....it should never never happen ...but it did happen..and it's shameful!
Heartbreaking, infuriating and tragic.
Jean De Menezes, a 27-year-old Brazilian working as an electrician in London, boarded the tube at Stockwell station on the morning of 22 July 2005. Moments later, before the carriage doors could close, armed police sprinted on to the train and shot him seven times, point blank, in the head. De Menezes had been mistaken for a suicide bomber; he was entirely innocent of any crime.
This expertly researched, cast and produced 4 part series dissects the events leading up to the shooting, the shooting itself (horrific), and the subsequent attempt by some of the police and cronies to discredit and deflect from the truth of what was undeniably a horrendously flawed operation leading to a cold-blooded public execution.
Be prepared to shout at the telly a few times, and be heartbroken by his traumatized family's attempts to make sense of it and get justice for Jean.

Brilliant series but policemen are not.
I Am Outraged by the Murder of an Innocent Person by the Police
I am filled with anger and disbelief over the killing of an innocent person by those who are supposed to protect us - the police. What makes this even more infuriating is the shameless way in which responsibility is being denied and brushed aside.
Is it really that difficult to accept the consequences - to step down as a commander, a police officer, or anyone else responsible - and to face the truth with honor and courage? Is accountability such a foreign concept? I truly wonder how these people manage to sleep at night, knowing what they've done or what they've allowed to happen.
Justice isn't just a word - it's a duty. And right now, it feels like those in charge have abandoned both justice and humanity.

The Truth Came Out.
I'm so happy this series was made - it tells the truth after we, as a nation, were fed so many lies. It tells the truth about how much the police lie to cover their backs, and, it brings into question everything we have ever been told by them. The police really will go to any lengths to protect their reputation. Some people still remember this story incorrectly - they believe the victim ran from the police due to being here illegally etc. They told so many lies about this innocent man. And even after they had slaughtered him and the truth about that was came to light they then tried to destroy his reputation by character assassination. Listening to them lie continuously was really hard to watch. The injustice of it all. This won't be the first time something like this has happened and it won't have been the last. That's the scariest part. How many other people have been murdered by the police and then lied about to us? I can't recommend this series enough. Everyone should watch it. I think there's a reason it is only on Disney plus and hasn't been released to the general public on mainstream TV - and we all know why that is!
