too much talking, too few actions
I watched 5 episodes but then found out it's not finished, I hate the Netflix now likes to split a season in 2 parts and release separately. Come on it's only 1 season, release all together.
I love Squid Game so I had high expectations for this game show. The first couple of episodes are quite good, interesting games with some additional twist so it wont be the same as the drama. But then it gets more and more boring. First, there are too much talking, too much "interview sessions" of individual contestants, some of them even spoke again and again. It's good to get to know them better by listening to their background stories, but some just repeated spoke irrelevant annoying stuff. Second, the elimination of players by other players is not as exciting/ entertaining as elimination through games, and they did this multiple times in a prolonged way.

Releasing in parts hurts the show
The show itself is quite good. I would argue it's a little over edited and there is an overfocus on certain people, but as a whole it's entertaining enough to fill your evenings.
My largest issue is the title of the review. Using season 2 as an example, they split into 3 parts with the final episode being released on its own a week after the 2nd batch of episodes. I just feel this hurts the show so much that the finale ends up being incredibly underwhelming and actually quite dull. Which is not what you want when you see someone win 4.56 million. In season 2, in the 2nd batch of episodes, it builds up a really good intensity and the snakes and ladders ep is fantastic. However, when you watch it and then end up waiting a week for the final, you lose all intensity that's built up and all emotion towards any contestant has pretty much gone. Unfortunately, the ending was quite boring as it was (not so much Netflix's fault as you can't help how a game turns out) but this batch releasing on episodes killed it even more. It just doesn't work for this kind of format of programme.
Beyond this, I mentioned the over focus of certain contestants. Netflix had a tendency over the 2 seasons to put their entire focus on about 8 contestants total. Which does get quite annoying when you want to watch how a game plans out and instead you're watching the same 2 contestants you've seen for the last 2 hours complete the game and ignoring the other 454 people in there.
Finally, I feel as though season 2 felt a little more "fake" than the first. Certain scenarios that happened just seemed incredibly unlikely to happen and yet there you go, it happened. I don't want to accuse Netflix of faking anything, but I do feel as though a few incidents could well have been manipulated one way or another.
I think what I am trying to say is that the show is an entertaining concept. However, the episodic releasing and editing of contestants ended up making it more annoying and tedious instead of fun and entertaining.

Fake Emotional Garbage Ruins It
Could have been a good show, but they focus too much on fake emotional players, too much forced drama makes things seem very staged. Theres always someone crying and it's just not fun to watch. Nothing seems genuine and I don't find myself routing for anyone. Most of the time I'm just shouting at the screen for players to just shut up, stop crying and play the frigging games. It's a game; it's so dumb and cringe. I just want to enjoy the challenges, because they are the funnest parts, ruined by all the gripes mentioned above.
Some very annoying finalist contestants!
They should have selected some less annoying contestants. I wanted all the finalist players to lose due to their annoying personalities and fakeness and being too-faced, apart from the poker player (who was straight shooting at least) and Trinity (who was on extended leave of absence from work to attend the game only to quite and let the others fight it out for the win). Overall, bad ending and disappointing results! Sorry winner but you were really annoying (slightly less than the daughter who fell down the slide chute haha).
Full of unlikable players
The Challenge is a huge letdown. Packed with unlikeable, two-faced contestants who play the victim and create fake emotional drama. Instead of strategy or tension, it's just petty backstabbing and forced tears. Feels cheap and manipulative.
The players are some of the most insufferable reality TV personalities ever.
