    Finally some representation!

Very few movies or series are bold enough to represent people of size as sexual beings, yet alone sexually desired. It is very normal and very common and something I relate to greatly. It's good to know young people of size can see themselves on tv in a positive non-controversial light. My life would have been different had I seen this when I was young and not wait until my late 30s to be in a relationship with a highly desirable person who is not a person of size like me. It's realistic and beautiful and finally see it in a story. Granted, the episode is a little melodramatic but is appropriate for the genre. Bravo.

    The Crescendo

This episode sees every single storyline established since the beginning of the season explode. It all crescendos together like an orchestral piece peaking, and is immensely satisfying.

I felt like it was wonderfully executed througout, with excellent directing and writing. The set designers and the make up department kills it as usual.

The main lead exceptionally stands out in this episode, as they nail the intimate scenes to perfection. The chemistry is almost violently erupting from the screen and engulfing us in its cosyness.

This is the perfect way to engage audience when your show goes into a month long hiatus. Amazing start to part 2 of the season. Can't wait to see how it all ends up.

The chaise lounge on which Colin and Penelope make love for the first time broke during filming. Nicola Coughlan revealed this in an interview and later shared an image of the broken furniture on Instagram the night part 2 premiered.
    • Goofs
The Bridgestone children are speaking about and eating a banana macaron/macaroon. The fruit itself was unavailable in early nineteenth-century Britain, and would not be until the last quarter of the century. Therefore, no one living in England during the Regency would have enjoyed a fresh banana, banana creme pie, banana pudding, banana bread or even the occasional banana split.
