                positively surprised

An interesting episode, not so focused on humor, but rather on a new vision for Jerry, I thought it was cool (the post-credits scene was cool too).

I was happy that the other characters in the family were present in this ep, unlike the premiere, this makes a lot of difference from Summer's little jokes to Beth and Morty's important reflections, I hope it continues like this.

Thinking about the rest of the season, I don't think this ep will have much impact, but I thought it worked well compared to the other eps that had Jerry's relationship with Rick as the main focus. I hope Jerry now has more cool background stories with Beth, and Space Beth returns too.

A huge step up from last week

I'm shocked that after so much vitriol and calamity levied at this show after Justin Roiland's ousting that they wouldn't have started this season with it's best foot forward, and last week's mid-to-poor outing had me VERY worried. If that was the best they could do now, I guess Rick and Morty's over, right?

WRONG, thankfully - this episode was a fantastic true to form sci fi tour de force that, aping Star Trek Voyager's abomination "Tuvix", maintains a level of hilarity and jokes per minute that rival excellent episodes from seasons of old. The two new voice actors bring their a-game to this (especially Rick, who's uniformly spot on) - if you transported this back four years and shoved it into season 4 there's no way I would have noticed the change.

Let's hope the rest of the season is more like "The Jerrick Trap", and light on poopy buttholes.

Necessary episode to make Jerry/Rick dynamic interesting again

This episode is simple. But it works. They might have had a Rick & Jerry episode but this one is different. In the current state of the show, a Rick & Jerry episode was required. The characters are different & this episode does well in upgrading the dynamic.

The episode delves into the character traits

In almost every episode, it seems like Jerry takes the fall. He keeps on becoming a irrelevant character, a ragdoll to throw jokes at.

This episode on the other hand carries on the trend of Rick losing control. Jerry seems to be getting a lot more involved & bold then he ever would be. While Rick is having to deal with human nature.

                Rising Again

This episode was really good . There is a different quality of writing in season 7 compared to 6 , IMO it got back closer to the true spirit of Rick and Morty.

This show is rising again . I hope this season bring back the Rick and Morty that i loved. Until now , it was good , i liked the s07e01 too , lets see what will happen.

One thing, the new rick's voice is a little off . I wish it wasn't.

I don't know if i would eventually become ok with the Rick's new voice.

Justin's voice had a special texture to it , although i think in season 6 he didn't sometimes really convey the true feelings of characters , but still .

Rick and Morty have made me eat my words!

Last week I wrote a short and pretty scathing review of the first episode of series 7...and for good reason, poor plot, no morty...and the voices. Rick was too high, Mr PB was like a bad parody and it felt like an AI generated version of the show.

This week however, miles different, not only an engaging plot but we got to see some beautiful shots with some really funny characters...and the voices...WERE GOOD! I though Rick was close to being spot on. I wonder if Ian Cardoni filmed this episode towards the end of the series 7 production because it really does feel like he's grown into rick here.

Have to say I'm surprised, maybe Rick and Morty isn't dead. Maybe it's just beginning...Either way I'll be here next week to tune in!
