Having caught up with the first season of this spin off from "The Walking Dead" I was able to go straight into the second run - as indeed did the show itself.
Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus) remains in France helping to protect Laurent (Louis Puech Scigliuzzi) but his philosophies and lessons do not gel with those of Losang (Joel de la Fuente) the leader of the resistance based at Mont Saint-Michel. Carol (Melissa McBride) learns that Daryl was taken to France, so decides to head after him. She meets Ash (Manish Dayal) who has a small plane and convinces him to fly her across the Atlantic with the aid of a perhaps unforgivable lie.
I would say that perhaps this season suffers a little, in comparison with the first season, because for the most part Daryl's objectives aren't as clearly defined as they were in the first. We're not sure that he's actually planning to head to the US anymore, as his relationship with Isabelle and love for Laurent are both growing. Carol has the clearer objective - even if it's perhaps stretching the realms of plausibility that she would find the same men that were collecting walkers in the US, let alone stumble into the right conflict when she arrives in France.
It's nice seeing them fighting together again, when it does happen - even if perhaps it does make this show feel a little more like the main show than it previously had done. It's another good series overall though with an enjoyable mix of action and trauma.
I'm a little disappointed to see that the third series will apparently be set in Spain rather than the UK because I was interested to find out what's happened here. (They know the Channel Tunnel doesn't go to Spain, don't they?).

End of the season, and here we go with a general review.
To begin with, it's a shame that the season was leaked, as I feel like that really affected the excitement of waiting for each episode. Other than that, I thought the start was very good, with great performances, narrative, symbolism, and, above all, excellent cinematography.
Then came chapters 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6, in which the third stood out for its good fight choreography, the fourth for its cinematography and performances, and the sixth, which offered a good closing, bringing together a little of everything. What I liked.
Overall, this season isn't perfect, but it's pretty solid and entertaining, with a lot of notable and brutal elements.

I might be alone with this but this season finale was a mess, the first half was good, I had no problem with that, but the second half, was one of the most cringe/weird scenes ever in this show. Overall as a Season I loved S2 more up until this final episode.
They almost killed an amazing character (now it is perhaps off screen) in nearly a minute, and it didn't really end it just ends by them walking off screen? The season rushed, but the rush wasn't needed since they had plenty of time, half of an episode even, Carol's weird deal with her daughter was just a reason for her character to not be flat this season, and she learned to let her go? Just like she did 7-8 seasons ago?
I loved Carol besides this, but this very last episode was a complete mess and didn't really gave a closure to any of the characters, since everything happened so fast.

From the get go, this season turned out a subpar version of the first one with just averagely mindless entertainment, doubled down with sporadic good visual and special effects. They truly don't know what to do with the series (anymore) and as much as I like Carol, she did nothing special in this season and even dragged Daryl down with her.
Even the last episode wasn't as good as the previous one and the ending with that music was just a complete letdown for fans who need to wait another year for a new season minimum.
They don't even care to give us a big juicy cliffhanger.

Well, after the first season which was watchable we got this season which is catastrophically bad. Every episode is worse than the next, and this finale is hilarious.
First, it's a mistake to bring Carol into the story at all, because this is no longer Daryl's journey, but just a continuation of what destroyed the original series.
The same mistakes are repeated, and of course there are also the usual "educative" moments where the writers tire us with "lessons" that have long since produced the opposite effect. What the writers don't realize is that this only infuriates the viewers and turns them off from watching the show. We watch movies and series for entertainment, not for "lessons". This is the last episode of the series that I will watch.
The dialogues are hilarious, and the reactions of the characters seem to have been written by someone who didn't live in the real world.
I regret the time I wasted watching this garbage. Another garbage from the so-called entertainment industry that has almost nothing to do with entertainment.
