..."Grey" seemed to me to be one of the few Christian parables I've ever seen that wore no cross on its sleeve. The writer/director is an unknown to me, as are the two actors, yet the whole thing felt like I'd seen and been comfortable with these folks for years. I'll not spoil a thing; two men under pressure react in vastly different ways to arrive at a conclusion that neither one of them likely expected.

Everything is of a piece productionwise;it all serves the story in a straightforward, honest manner. Assured direction yields photography and editing that draws viewers in and holds them close, while the same deft handling of actors draws natural and organic performances from the cast. The script never wears out its welcome, despite a certain degree of unlikelihood. Highly recommended.

A profound inspired Christian short film.

In parking, a venerable man in his car , the backsitt being ocuppead by a plant.

A young man tries to rob him. But the calm empathy and good sense of victim changes him in significant way. Because the middle age man knows, feels and can fix a disturbed to disperate life , in which responsability, need of money, the conviction than violence can be only efficient way to succed are mixed.

The film has the virtue to be one about his viewers. A mirror , reflecting angry and fear and the compassion in its beautiful form.

Inspired performances as heart of story, Sam Skolnik exploring, in right manner, entire hysteria animating us , Gene mocsy - the fair answer in crisis situations .

A film about the cure and about need by the healer who realy knows to hear the vulnerable, hurt other.

This film draws you in with mysterious, perfectly created sound and shots ... and that captivating theme continues for 13 minutes.

The film (and the story it so beautifully shares) leaves you feeling as if there is hope for humanity - quite a feat these days!

Without giving too much away, the actors perfectly presented the angst and calm each were feeling, amidst the unsettling situation. And given what Grey himself was going through at the start of the film, and the cryptic texts, the film begs a sequel to dive into that backstory.

Bravo, Glenn. I'm truly looking forward to more from this writer/director 👏🏽

In our current world of over stimulation and cinematic hat tricks it's very rare that such a simple, 10 minute film could invoke so many emotions. I found myself moved to tears during the last minute as I realized so much of what is wrong with humanity was wrapped up in this short interaction between two very different yet inherently similar human beings. Furthermore, aside from just outlining the problem - the solution was also very subtly and lovingly offered as well. I honestly feel that this film is a mini masterpiece, and I truly look forward to seeing what more Glenn Berkencamp and his team have up their sleeves. 👏🙌🏼😉
