The film was originally called Alice in Wonderland and in 2007 was planned to be a short film. The final script for that version was around 25 pages and Carrozza wanted to make it in 2008 but was unable to for a variety of circumstances. Carrozza even filmed a single scene in June of 2008 but the actress, displeased by Carrozza's lack of resources and guerrilla style of doing things, walked off the shoot after one hour.

Alternate versions
J.L. Carrozza's preferred version is the 60 minute "standard" cut. This cut has a quicker pace and has all the political scenes featuring and making mention of the Bush-like President character cut as well as a few "real world" scenes removed or massively shortened and some dialog removed throughout. Carrozza likes this cut because he feels it gets the same point across at a tighter run time.
